This is a small main unit (roughly the size of a set top box for cable/satellite, etc, along with a wireless (BT) subwoofer. Setting up is quite easy, and can receive audio via HDMI or optic cable (which was my choice). This doesn't provide pseudo-surround or stereo separation in the same way a larger sound bar can, which may or may not be important to you. But if a compact sized, GREAT sounding system is what fits your space/needs, this is a great choice. The system does have a full featured remote, though I quickly mapped the power/volume to my DirecTV remote and only need to pull out the small dedicated remote should I choose to use other features (e.g. night mode, or the dedicated bass/voice volume settings). It has the ability to connect to chromecast for music streaming, but I don't have the need to have yet another streaming device, and wish there was the ability to turn the wifi off, to avoid interference with my current system and devices. Other than that minor quibble, and the lack of stereo separation (which is understandable in such a small package), this is a great choice for upgrading sound for those still stuck using their TV's built in speakers.

Either this sound bar is the problem or the tv is but regardless both items I purchased are totally unsatisfactory. Geek squad was just here last week to work on and I want an answer on what it will take for me to enjoy watching this tv with this sound bar and what it will take for me to be satisfied.
