These are passive speakers so they will output whatever is fed to them and is likely not the reason for the connection issues. Excellent sound

Even with a basic receiver, they can certainly fill the whole floor of the house. Bass is pumpin without a subwoofer. Some say it over crowds the mids, which I can hear a bit, but the voice on most tracks still comes through smoothly.

I can't go into all the superfluous data, but I can say, I replaced a very decent pair of Yamaha speakers with a Sub Woofer. I have always like Polk since way back in the 70's and after listening to several options, based on space and price I was willing to spend, as well as other strong reviews, I purchased these. I really love the sound, and I did keep my Yamaha Sub Woofer so, together, this is fr me, a great choice. I'm sure other options could have worked, but, for me, these really give me the bright sound I wanted. I do think the Sub is a necessity but that's a personal thing.

They sound great the only downside is there’s no way to hang the on a wall for the surround speaker. For the money you send they should put mounting brackets on the back of them .

Qaulity and affordable
