Disappointed with this soundbar!

I had to download the Polk Omni and the Polk Utility app on my iPhone to set up the soundbar. Both of those apps are confusing. I had to connect the soundbar to my WiFi network which I don't need. I am only using this soundbar on my Samsung television. The volume on this soundbar fluctuates while watching almost every channel. The sound goes in and out, the volume level increases and decreases and the subwoofer is the same way. The sound is also often muffled. I tried adjusting every sound/audio setting on both my television and the soundbar but nothing helped. It is connected to my television with an optical audio cable. There is no HDMI ARC output on this soundbar. The Magnolia salesperson recommended this item but I am not sure why. I would never have paid the full price of $700 and I also think it was overpriced at the sale price of $350. I am going to be returning it and buying another brand soundbar.

Good soundbar, that’s it

Don’t get me wrong the soundbar and subwoofer are amazing. Great sound and amazing bass. But as far for hooking up surround sound speakers to the system is garbage. We have true Polk S2 rechargeable speakers, and you have to hook them up through the Polk app on your phone. The app is terrible and it took me about 4 hours to figure it out. Once I got them all hooked up I hit one button on the app and everything got deleted. And if you think you’re going to be able to listen a movie or tv show through this system with the surround sound you’re wrong. The surround sound only works with music. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. Waste of $400

It might as well be a paperweight

At first it was great I just used it real quick and watched some youtube videos on my tv to test the audio.... then I hooked it upto wifi and bluetooth and did all the updates needed. Now here is my issues, after said updates the remote will not work. Went online found a different manual then what came with the product which instructed me how to sync my normal tv remote... so tried that nothing. It turned on and off and now the sub will not work. Tried calling Polk to troubleshoot and no one is there to speak to me. (Only open til 5 and not available on the weekends). So yea overall not happy. It sounded / worked great before the updates and now its useless. I will be returning this in the morning.

Sounds good but needs app update

The sound is good but the Play-Fi app is lacking. For the price paid, I would go with another option that's not Play-Fi.

Polk send me one and supported first set up. After hurricane Matthew, the remote and sub woofer would not work. I called Polk and spoke to a customer service rep. I had already tried every thing he suggested and then he said he didn't like my attitude and hung up. I emailed Polk and they emailed me back and said they would looked into the problem and the reps response. I never heard back from them. I finally disconnected the soundbar and bought another one. I would never buy another Polk product.

Absolute Junk!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it today, Remote was dead right out of the box and the sub woofer would not connect to the sound bar. Calling Polk was a complete waste of time, they put me on hold for over 1 hour, I opted to "press 1, they would call me back and I would not lose my turn in line", they NEVER called me back. Called Best Buy support, routed to voice mail, they NEVER called me back. I boxed it up and will return it tomorrow, another 130 mile round trip.

Sounds Great, very hard to setup

I relies on wifi and an app on your phone or tablet. this is where the difficulty has started. I finally got it setup. purchased another component, now the app will not find any of the existing speakers, so I am going to return my most recent purchase because I have no way of adding to the system thru the wifi. if my router ever dies, all of these items become garbage!

The Bass with the demo one I listen to was great lots of booming bass, was told the woofer in the sale one is the same, what a bunch of sales talk. the set up is a lot of work, if you do not have internet WiFi your going to be very frustrated. Not adjustment for mid range. Voice is clear, but that is all that is any good with unit. The Base is so bad, it was nothing like the one I heard in the store. It not loud, it was just a lot of muffled low tones. How can any company that is supposed to be a sound co, put something on the ,market.like this. The people that rate this unit great have to be happy with an old transistor radio sound. It's a little better than the TV speakers but thats all I can say good about it.

Dont buy before reading
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was talked into this system from workers at Best Buy, but wasn't really looking at spending that kind of money. The system sounded great. When I started using it, i soon found out the woofer is too strong, even at the lowest setting it was overpowering. The remote was cheesy and the button wore out after about 6 months. Had problems with it freezing and just one continuous sound, very annoying. I called and talked with someone from Polk, but it sounded like they were in their kitchen, and they weren't any help to fix the system. I finally stopped using it and am going to buy a much cheaper unit that my friend bought at Best Buy. Very disappointed, and wasted my money.

Poor product, Poor Service from Polk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this set 2 days ago, out of the box, the sound kept coming and going, Polk Customer Service (after holding for an hour), told me that give it the time and if sound keeps fading to take it back. The sound was weak, drop sound, Subwoofer was hit or miss. For the price, very disappointing. Returned it and picked up the JBL 3.1 Bar system.

I bought this Item to compare it with my Samsung HW-N650 and this Polk Sound bar its not even close, sounds horrible!!!! Bass get disconnect it from soundbar every 20seconds, poor sounds quality!!!!

Overpriced for what it offers
