This subwoofer really does the job! While it is a low priced choice, it will shake the house as you get immersed in sound of the movie or music.

I'm writing this because I own 2 of these. Ive read a lot of reviews (not just here at BB) where people are concerned about this sub having no LFE input. NOT a problem. All you need to do to use your RECEIVER to set crossover is CRANK the Hz ON THE SUB to the MAX. This bypasses the subs internal cross, allowing you to use the receiver to adjust cross settings. This isn't just my opinion, it's advice from a POLK "tech". No LFE is NOT a problem with this sub. I just thought I'd add this because it was a concern of mine when I was considering these, and maybe I helped someone with this info. (and saved you some research time!) Would I recommend this? Yes, but watch prices! (I got mine for much less)

This subwoofer is great for my medium sized room. The bass is great in music and will totally change the way you watch your favorite movies. Anyone having weird sounds coming from this needs to adjust their gain. I had a problem getting this connected to my receiver but that was my fault. I highly recommend this subwoofer. I may even pick up another for the back half of my room.

Got this on sale for 99.00 to replace my old one that died. I use it primarily for tv surround sound and have been very pleased so far. While it wont rattle the walls, its a great unit for the price and i highly recommend!

This sub is fantastic for the money. Its great for music and movies alike. I recommend it.

picked up a 7.2 surround sound after moving in to a new place. I got this sub with one of BB proven packages. My system calls for two subs but I settled for just one. This thing makes you feel like your in the theater. I haven't been out to the movies since. I picked up a second sub and not sure if my windows will be able to handle it. Overall this product for the price is awesome.

I just bought this today. I researched other polk audio subs as well as other brands on different sites. I know what you all are thinking.....samething I was. Well these other 12 in woofers from polk and others are about $100-$200 more. Should I go for the big dollar ones or just try this 10in one? Well let me tell you......go for this one. $99 REALLY? YES. Huge bang for the buck. I just played some bass music like britneys scream and shout, my humps, etc. It sounds freaking awesome. Rattles the walls......serious power. I have an Onkyo amp which I bought about 1 year ago. I just bought the polk audio center cs 10, both left and right towers psi400, and now this psw10. I am very satisfied with my system. Plays music and movies with power....lolol. Go for it! Would have been nice if polk would have put some bigger stands on the bottom.

Deep bass..... Not very musicial. The silver front doesn't look so good next to the. Tsi 300 its a different color .

Even at full price I would consider these Polk subs to be a great deal... I was so happy with this subwoofer that I even purchased a second one, only becuse my main speakers are extremely small and can not produce bass at all.... I now have two of them, crossed over at seperate points and the sound is unbelievable for the money I spent.... Absolutely no regrets here!

Very good subwoofer. Replaced a twenty-five year old subwoofer. The difference is out of this world. This powered subwoofer makes my system sound even better. It's a perfect match.

Plenty of power to shake my room. The speaker appears to be well made and sound quality is good. If you are looking to add some thump to your sound system at a great price give this product a try. I think you will love it as much as I do. Do yourself a favor and place it in a corner facing the wall about 1 foot away. Boom!

I do not have a high end surround sound system, but this subwoofer provides excellent bass for the money, and is a huge improvement over a Sony subwoofer than came with a prepacked system about 10 years ago.

sound is perfect and is great addition to my system. works great. Has an auto turn off if there is no signal to unit for a period of time. very good.

This is a great product. It offers amazing features. This is a great investment. This is a definitely a must have. I love my bass.

After giving this sub a good 3 week break in period I have say it sure lacks any semblance of clear articulated bass. With that said I would give it points for at least filling the room with boom. While the clarity isn't anything to brag about it does fill that 150hz to about 50hz frequency range in. Don't expect to play Japanese bass drum music and be awestruck. Rap sounds ok and so does heavy metal if you don't expect to hear the striker hitting the face of the drum. A good focal or velodyne may give you that but at a much higher price point. All in all an ok woofer god at keeping your theater budget on track. Audiophiles will be disappointed.

I bought this over a sony one for half the price. no regrets from me. When i heard it in store it didnt sound as good in their large audio room but once i hooked it up I was amazed at it's sound. More than enough power for most people, have it at maybe 1/4 power most time.

It is supposed to power on when it detects a signal and power off when the signal stops. This does not work well so sometimes when I turn on music I do not get the subwoofer, and when I turn the music off, it stays on giving out a hum.
