Ended up purchasing two of these for my budget bedroom studio. Very efficient, high output using relatively little power. Polk is known for making hi-fi affordable and this product has been the foundation of my bedroom monitors for several years.

This sub was a pleasant addition to my hometheater. Reasonably priced and performs great. Only issue was that the plastic feet will break but foam or carpet will mute any vibration. Very happy with this purchase.

I started shopping for a new subwoofer when the one I had for years died. I stopped at an audio specialty store that had units for hundreds of dollars. The sales person suggested that I consider another option than their store for a sub because "there really isn't any difference when it comes to subs." A few days later this was on sale for a great price and I've been pleased with it since purchasing it.

This replaced an 8 in HTIB sub and now we shake the stuff on our walls. I'm not sure what level of bass some of those negative reviewers are looking for but this thing was plenty for our 20x15 room. Maybe it's the way they have it oriented but this thing is definitely good enough for your home surround sound. Got it on sale for $99 and I'd have no prob paying full price.

I bought this to replace a model that was suffering from some clicking. As a step back from my previous model, however, this still holds up

Soooo, I got my main room system back to 7.2 and decided it was time to give my basement area a new sub. I paired this with my Yamaha RXV385, which is a 5.1 receiver. As for the basement area, it's a small room that was partitioned off from what was once a very long garage in a town home. While I'm still breaking this thing in, the music I've been throwing at it has been really doing justice in the low end response. I need to dedicate more time for some movies but so far it's fitting the bill. One fun note, thank you BB for the awesome price ($100 for Christmas in July Sale!)! Please note this probably will not serve you well in a large room. But if you aim for simplicity and value, I totally recommend!

just buy it!!! My installer said it sounds as good as much more expensive speakers

I am using this speaker in a 20 by 20 room, and it fills the room nicely. I can feel the bass, and cannot turn it up all the way, which means that it has capacity to spare and I can set it just where I want it. I really enjoy this product.

You cannot go wrong with Polk Audio. This sub works well in a small to medium sized listening area. If your space is large, I recommend doubling up if your AVR supports it.
