Excellent mid $ range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little guy does an excellent job in my home theatre. Used it in replacement to a high end passive system and am completely happy. Probably makes my apartment neighbors upset.

A SUB ABOVE
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this sub to use with my vintage 1975 Kenwood receiver that has no pre-out. I used the speaker line input and boy does this thing crank. Paired with a set of Klipsch bookshelf speakers I can really rock the house. Lows are clean, not muffled, and it doesn't overpower the other speakers. Totally happy with my purchase.

Great sub
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paired with a Klipsch satellite surround sound system, this Polk subwoofer matches up great. I have the Klipsch 10" sub in another tv room with Klipsch bookshelves. This Polk is just as good and cheaper. The Klipsch specs a little lower Hz, but not much. I doubt you'll hear any difference.

Polk Subwoofer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Polk Subwoofer to complement my Polk shelf size speakers. Having tweek the sw speaker adjustments several times I think it fills the void the shelf speaker were unable to do alone. I've had Polk Speakers of various sizes from huge to these shelf models and have always appreciated their sound quality, appearance and workmanship. Polk is a no brainer if you're looking for quality, value and performance! Ron

Good entry level Sub
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This subwoofer puts out decent bass but doesn't provide that deep rumble I was looking for. Its a great entry level subwoofer. good for someone placing it in a smaller room.

Great quality subwoofer
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good product, definitely an upgrade from what i had before. I have an Onkyo sound system and the subwoofer that came with it was ok. When i later upgraded to a 4k Onkyo system, the previous subwoofer was incompatible so i said screw it and decided to research for a new one. I bought this about 2 years ago and its still going strong. The sound quality of this is great, fully adjustable from the knobs on the back. You can have it so when an explosion happens on tv, the house shakes and its very well when listening music. Overall, good product for the money you spend.

Great Bass
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to replace our Insignia subwoofer we had for several years and went into Best Buy to see if we could hear this subwoofer. We were able to test this one as well as a different manufacturers and we really liked the features and sound of the Polk. Bass is great in our surround sound and we don’t even have it turned up all the way. Definitely recommend this subwoofer.

Perfect for a great-room stereo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently moved into a new house, and the bookshelf speakers that I had to hook up to a receiver in my great room didn't have enough punch at the low end to properly fill the room; they ended up sounding tinny. I added this subwoofer to the system, and now the whole system sounds balanced, everywhere in the 25-foot square room with high ceilings.

It's a PSW10, just in another color.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PSW10 isn't a bad subwoofer on it's own, but they made the piano black variant that costs more. There are a few gripes that I've learned about this unit online that I put some work into keeping this thing around so I can get my money's worth. I prefer the color over the other, but if you are okay with any other color, feel free to save a few bucks and get the exact same woofer. First of all, at beyond 70% volume, there's a ton of port noise and baffling for frequencies below 50hz. There are a few fixes for this such as moving the amp+woofer into another box, or removing the metal diffuser from behind the port (involving unscrewing and pulling the amplifier out, then unscrewing it and pulling it and the glue off) but even then it doesn't fully stop the baffling/port noise. So I raised the crossover to 100hz so that way it has more room to shine without any distortion and I leave it at about 60% volume. After those small gripes.... It actually sounds good! Really good! The thump is enough to shake the floor and wall around, the woofer seriously rocks around and it even has the ability to passthrough power to bookshelf speakers on the back. The problem being... that the woofer just moves way too much air for the port to handle. Not necessarily a bad thing if you think about the componentry, but the price I paid which was nearly $70 more than the base PSW10 in grey, makes it kind of sad that it doesn't hit super low without that noise.
