It's a PSW10, just in another color.

The PSW10 isn't a bad subwoofer on it's own, but they made the piano black variant that costs more. There are a few gripes that I've learned about this unit online that I put some work into keeping this thing around so I can get my money's worth. I prefer the color over the other, but if you are okay with any other color, feel free to save a few bucks and get the exact same woofer.
First of all, at beyond 70% volume, there's a ton of port noise and baffling for frequencies below 50hz. There are a few fixes for this such as moving the amp+woofer into another box, or removing the metal diffuser from behind the port (involving unscrewing and pulling the amplifier out, then unscrewing it and pulling it and the glue off) but even then it doesn't fully stop the baffling/port noise. So I raised the crossover to 100hz so that way it has more room to shine without any distortion and I leave it at about 60% volume.
After those small gripes....
It actually sounds good! Really good! The thump is enough to shake the floor and wall around, the woofer seriously rocks around and it even has the ability to passthrough power to bookshelf speakers on the back.
The problem being... that the woofer just moves way too much air for the port to handle. Not necessarily a bad thing if you think about the componentry, but the price I paid which was nearly $70 more than the base PSW10 in grey, makes it kind of sad that it doesn't hit super low without that noise.

Paired with a Klipsch satellite surround sound system, this Polk subwoofer matches up great. I have the Klipsch 10" sub in another tv room with Klipsch bookshelves. This Polk is just as good and cheaper. The Klipsch specs a little lower Hz, but not much. I doubt you'll hear any difference.

This thing Rocks. Purchased it cause I thought my other sub broke during our move but come to find out the sound guys wired the room wronf. Payed $99.00 so I kept it and now running 2 subs but you can feel the pounding from that side of the room more than from where the other sub is located. Glad the wife said I could keep it, lol.

Never owned a Polk speaker before, but this one is great. Price was nice too. If you're just starting out in home audio (or even if you're an avid sound guru), this is a great choice.

Bought unit on sale and plugged it into a receiver for a basic 2.1 system.
I have 2 other Polk Subs that are higher end models but this performs just fine and a good value for this application.
Adding a solid sub to any system adds increased music enjoyment with minimal effort. Good unit.

Got this as an open box purchase. This sub is ran in a series with my other sub for my surround sound. Polk makes great quality products and I would definitely recommend this sub. It looks great and the bass quality is great. Buy one and watch some loud movies

I added this sub to an H/K receiver and JBL tower speakers. It has been a perfect addition, plenty of bass you can feel, and I can still hear all notes from the towers.

I was replacing a 15 year old Velodyne Subwoofer; it was easy to hook up, but sent the auto calibration level & distance a little wild - I disabled the subwoofer (turned it off) proceeded with the auto cal & then set the subwoofer audio level by selecting manual level adjust and then set it a couple times later per different movies to select just the right bass without booming sound.
