I bought this sub to go with my Polk Tower speakers and it certainly helped fatten up the bass for the room. My speakers are driven with a stereo receiver power amp. Check your power amp connection options. I think this sub may be a bit behind in the types of connection options, but once I went out from the power amp with speaker wire into the sub and out to the towers this sub worked great.

Completes the surround sound you want to achieve and great for the price

I was replacing a 15 year old Velodyne Subwoofer; it was easy to hook up, but sent the auto calibration level & distance a little wild - I disabled the subwoofer (turned it off) proceeded with the auto cal & then set the subwoofer audio level by selecting manual level adjust and then set it a couple times later per different movies to select just the right bass without booming sound.

The sound is crystal clear & the bass will vibrate the room if you want it to.

Good value for the price. Not boomy or muddy sounding. No crackles or other odd noises, etc. Bad part is first one failed within a few weeks. The repair process is tedious, you have to disassemble the unit (they only want the control board). Polk does not cross ship the replacement board. Now one goes out (or they repair yours) after what you send has been inspected/evaluated. That said, the replacement works great - no issues at all

The sub provides plenty of base for the money. Good for surround sound and music.

I am happy with this sub-woofer. I used the speaker level inputs which worked fine. I note that the line level inputs require 2 phono plugs; I would have had to split my line input. I like the volume control and cross-over adjustments on the sub-woofer body..

Got this to go with a Polk speaker package I came across over the holidays and decided to upgrade my Onkyo system. Paired this with a new 4K Onkyo receiver that also caught on sale, and they are great together. Best part, I used my rewards to get the sub for next to nothing. Thank you Best Buy!

I bought this to go with the matching set of floorstanding Polk Audio speakers. I love bass and have purchased several subs in the past but nothing in a few years. This sub puts out as much sound as ones I paid five times as much for in the past. Not sure if sub technology has improved that much since my last purchase or if this one is just great, but I'm very impressed with it especially at this price point.
