This powered sub makes a huge difference compared to not running one at all. I think a lot of people just run all the speakers,in a home system or some a 2 ch setup. They're missing out! This sub adds so much depth to the music and movie soundtracks. You feel it! Like you're there. Go get one now!! They're inexpensive, enjoy it, enjoy life!

I hooked up the sub thru the speakers, and it took about an hour or so to complete the installation. It took another hour or so to dial in the settings that best fit the room. The receiver isn't overly powerful, so 50 watts rms is plenty for the application.

I can't remember how much I paid for it. It was not cheap, but not the most expensive subwoofer either. The quality of the sound is unbelievable. Still gives crystal clear sound after 2 years of daily use. The TV and all the sound system/speakers are on about 12 hours a day, every single day.

Looking for more bass sound to go along with some Polk bookshelf speakers to downsize from my studio monitors, this one works for me. The 8 ohm compatibility and adjustable volume on the unit made it a great choice for me. (BTW, I listen to mostly classic rock and this one ROCKS !)

Overall, I will say this is a good sub. Just don't set your expectations too high; because even though the sub has a nice sound to it, on certain bass notes it does sound flat. On a positive note, I am quite surprise by how well the built-in 100watt amp power the subwoofer. It's hard to believe they advertise this at 50rms, should be more like 100rms how well the sub moves. You can easily push this sub too hard. I have this sub connected to a Yamaha receiver with a pair of Bose v301s.

Very impressive little sub. I purchased two. First Polk product I have ever bought and am quite pleased. The legs they stand on seem a little on the delicate side but that would be the only complaint I have. They are excellent for movie and music alike.

I was looking to replace an expensive sub with something as good but less assaulting on my wallet. Researched the Polk line and settled on this model due to the great positive reviews. They were correct! It has subtle lows that enhances the sound perfectly. I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Thanks to Best Buy for the no hassle price match. I'll certainly be back!

Purchased this at half price cause I thought mines had broken during the move but come to find out they wired my movie room incorrectly, so after trying it out I decided to keep it and run both subwoofers and it was the best decision I made concerning that room. Puts out enough bang for the buck, very happy with item. Sub is on the bottom right of the picture.

I put two of these in a 7.2 channel set up in my theater room and they can shake the house. If you want to "feel" the bass this sub will definitely do the job.
