What happened to Polk quality?

I am mostly happy with this purchase. The price was definitely a draw, but obviously it meant there were gonna be some drawbacks… Not being able to actually see how high you’ve gone with the volume and bass settings is a big drawback. Also, after turning my system/tv back on and having to “click thru” settings to get any sound to come out is annoying.

Mutes itself with quiet sounds.

Turning up the volume does not appear to solve this issue. If you are solely going to use this for music you should be A-OK with it. But for movies or shows that have quiet periods in them it will be annoying as it doesnt like to unmute itself unless it plays audio that is a sharp increase from the previous quiet noise it should play.
