Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Signa S2's sound quality, bass, and ease of use, frequently praising its impressive audio performance and user-friendly features. Many also appreciate the soundbar's compact size and affordable price point. While some users suggest improvements to the remote control and the lack of a display, the positive feedback on the sound and ease of setup outweighs these minor drawbacks. The Bluetooth connectivity is also a frequently cited advantage.

Good and bad, good for tv, bad for music

Excellent sound bar for the tv, not so much for listening to music. With that said this system is well worth the price point @ $199. It will enhance your tv sound fairly well. I'm use to listening to tower speakers with a full bodied range of sounds so I was a little disappointed when I pulled out an album and fired up the turn table. I almost expected what I heard due to the small size of the bar, the bass is clean so no complaint there but listening to the music is like listening to it being played inside a soup can. Mid range and highs wash out with any volume over normal speech. No possibility of cranking it and getting quality sound although it does have decent volume.

1st of all we went into Best Buy to purchase a TV, with no intentions of buying a sound bar. Being Seniors, & a little hard of hearing, we mentioned sometimes we miss something said on a movie. The Best Buy Rep immediately showed us this Sound Bar. I was impressed he didn’t try to show us more expensive ones as this was the least expensive on the shelves. He said this Sound Bar was best at ensuring words would come thru clearly. Boy, was he right. We’ve had our new TV with this Sound Bar for a month now & neither of us have missed a word spoken on a movie. Love this Sound Bar! The speech& even minor sounds come thru clearly & distinctly. The setup was effortless & the wireless sub connected in seconds. The sound is great & works perfect with our new 75” Samsung Series QLED Smart TV.

Delivery timing was amazing and prompt! Polk products are well built and great sounding. Setup was easy and it looks great on my wall. My wife didn't even spot the new install until I pointed it out. Highly recommended. Much better than the Samsung models.

Opted for this model simply because we were tired of not being able to hear the dialogue mix in movies/TV. This definitely did the trick. The bass is decent, but not game-changing, but it's a marked improvement over the TV's internal speakers. Linking via HDMI allows me to use my LG TV remote to control volume, but there are a few downsides to this: 1) There's no visual indicator of the current volume level; no number, bar scale, etc. 2) Some issues switching between input devices. Turning the bar off and then back on resolves the issue, but it's a tad annoying. Overall, really pleased, with some minor annoyances with connectivity. If you don't mind using the device's included remote, or you don't find yourself changing inputs with great frequency, this is a solid buy.

Picked up for 200. Was expecting so-so since it was the lower end. After a month of use i am amazed at the sound. Bass is a lot better than i expected. Turns movies to life. Polk does not disappoint. Hard to beat for the money. I just started playing with the bluetooth, but so far it is easy to use.

I purchased this item approximately 1 month ago and am thoroughly pleased and impressed with the impact this small sound bar and subwoofer produce. They fit well in the small space of my living room in my two bedroom apartment and pack a powerful punch! I would definitely recommend this item especially for those trying to make the most of a small space. Without this I could barely hear my 4k TV and was turning it all the way up, even to hear my movies. So when I purchased this, I was pleasantly surprised. I had to start turning the sound down (not using tv sound) because I didn’t want to disturb the neighbors! So give this little guy a try. It was also very well priced, won’t break your bank!

First soundbar but I'm very impressed with the range of sound at a great price. Connecting and pairing didn't take long. I also like that I can pair with my phone for music. A huge upgrade from TV speakers

I bought this as an ‘open box’ product. Definitely ‘open box’ as it arrived in a non-descript cardboard box that looked like it had been ‘trashed’ - ripped out on one side with a big hole on the other. Product inside looked fine other than a small dent on top of the sub woofer. Only thing missing was any paperwork that may have been in the original box. Had an issue getting it set up at first but looking around on the web gave me the info I needed. I hooked it up to my main TV (knew that it worked well with an LG soundbar) and it came to life. Pretty good sound for a unit that’s a quarter of the price of my LG system. Bass is adequate in a small room (12 x 15) and voices are clear. The sound isn’t as ‘spacious as the LG but the bass is punchy enough. Over-all - happy with the product. Not big home theater unit, but was not designed for that purpose IMO.

This little unit works great. I wanted to improve the sound of my TV and be able to connect via blue tooth with my phone or laptop to listen to music. I also wanted it to be sleek and kind of be hidden. This fit the bill. I have a 55" Sharp TV.

I'm an audio engineer of 20 years. I mix audio on a pair of $3500 studio speakers; I'm picky. I needed something for our TV in this price range. I tried the Samsung, the Sony, and this was an easy decision. The bass is super punchy, the highs and mids are clear and precise. It easily connects with Bluetooth devices. I found myself listening to albums on this thing and it was fun. The only cons are probably the lack of a display and I haven't figured out how to let the TV control the audio volume. Other than that, it sounds wonderful - better than systems costing over $500 that were on display. Just pick this up, it's a no-brainer if you hear it and compare to the others.

This is an amazing sound bar for its size and cost. The wireless sub-woofer is excellent. The enhanced sound of the TV is very good for music and movies. It's small size almost hides itself under the TV. I'm impressed. Thanks Polk.

very easy to set up and use on arc HDMI and overall sound is very good for price and size. sub pre-paired and has very good bass range - sound bar itself shows it's size limitations as volume is pushed but overall one of the better value units I have owned

This sound bar is awesome as a replacement for your TV's built in speakers as long as you are not expecting surround sound. It is a 2.1 system, which means left and right channels plus a sub for bass output. That means no center channel, for that you need to look at the more expensive MAGNIFI MAX SYSTEM 3.2 channel setup. This system is great for upgrading your TV's stock sound system. Simple to install and adjust. Great sound quality., as good as some I listened to that are 2x the price. The unit is well built and very nice looking as well. The only negative, and it is minor, is that it does not offer any display to indicate your current sound level. Then again, if your ears work that is no big deal.

This soundbar with subwoofer has a great sound and is easy to connect. It also has a Bluetooth connection. I had to play around with it at first to get the perfect sound, but that was no problem. I only wish that the remote control was universal like others I saw. Overall, this is a great product.

I was looking to upgrade my older Vizio soundbar since it was 6+ yrs old and was not producing the amount of sound needed for the family room in our new house. I was originally going to purchase a Samsung set to match my LED TV, but many did not have the best reviews. So I researched this Polk setup and came back with a lot of positive reviews. You wouldn't buy a car from an appliance company, same goes for audio equipment. Polk has made quality car audio/home theater equipment for a long time. Setup was a snap, the only thing different I had to do was switch to an HDMI connection vs. my old optical cable setup. Works perfectly with my TV and everything connected seamlessly. The sound this puts out is night and day difference from my old Vizio soundbar. You will not be disappointed!

Go into your local Best Buy and test sound bars. You'll find that Polk stands out for its value for money. This works well with my 4k tv and when streaming music. It's great having an HDMI connection to a soundbar with a reasonable amount of bass from the subwoofer.

This sound bar is just what I needed. Unlike Samsung 290W I previously had and returned, the set up was a breeze. All I had to do was connect it to TV (HDMI cable is included, which was great), power on and subwoofer automatically links to the sound bar. I like that when I turn on the TV, the sound bar automatically turns on. And the sound, wow!! It’s crystal clear with a nice bass. Don’t underestimate the subwoofer by the size, although it may be smaller than most, it really gives a punch. I found out that Polk is a company that focuses on making speakers since 1972. Overall, I’m really satisfied with the purchase.

Polk Audio Signa S2 sound bar speaker review

Very good sound quality experience for watching movies, sports, or even your favorite TV show. Good sound quality for listening to music too. I expect it is also good for gaming too. The speaker has multiple ways to connect to your speaker to your TV (audio jack, optical, or HDMI ARC). Also like the Bluetooth feature that allows you to connect/link your computer, smartphone, tablet, or MP3 player, etc to your Polk speaker. Includes a basic remote to control the various sound levels and modes for the best sound experience for what you are watching or listening to on the speaker. It would be nice, if there was a way to see your sound levels of your speaker on your TV screen, but not a big deal. Overall, I would say it is a great addition to your home entertainment system for the money. Best time to buy it is during the holiday season.
