Mmmm, Troublesome Sound Bar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Polk Audio Signa S2 TV Sound Bar to go with my newly purchase Hisense 55" H9G Quantum Series TV. Set up was a breeze. Sound quality was pretty good. The remote was easy to use. There's enough feature on the remote to be able to somewhat customize to your listening preference. Why the 2 stars rating? Well, every time I turn off the TV, the sound option defaulted back TV speaker. The ARC HDMI option is gray out. No matter what I do, the ARC HDMI option was not available. THE ONLY WAY I could get the ARC HDMI option to become available, was to completely unplug the TV AND the sound bar (let's not forget the sub-woofer). THEN the ARC HDMI option became available. I HAVE TO DO THIS EVERY TIME I TURN OFF THE TV. Sometimes I have to unplug everything twice before the option became available. I'm patience BUT this is not a viable situation for me. I went back to my 10 years old SamSung soundbar. The old timer sync up immediately and never gave me any hassle! The sound quality is not much different than the Polk sound bar. I'm returning the Polk Audio Sound Bar. Oh, another thing, if the TV was pause for more than 10 minutes, the sound bar turns off. You'll have to turn the sound bar on again.
