The remote isn’t much and doesn’t always work with the first push of a button. Sometimes I don’t want the sound bar on and unfortunately it turns on whenever the tv is on. My directv remote won’t control the volume. I would not recommend or buy this product again.

I would recommend this to a friend Good soundbar with one huge negative: Auto Standby
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a good soundbar for the price with one HUGE negative (at least in my opinion). After 15 minutes of inactivity, it turns off. In the manual it's called Auto Standby, but it just turns off. You have to manually turn it on or switch inputs to get it to come on again. So if you pause a movie, satellite/cable, or anything like that for 15 mins or longer, you have to turn it back on every time. There is no way to disable or adjust this. For some people this may not be a problem, but it so frequently gets on my nerves. So much so that I would give this product 5 stars if not for this feature that Polk just took it among themselves to decide that EVERY one that buys this product, wants it. I don't and I will NEVER buy another Polk soundbar without making sure it does not have an auto standby feature. I bought a Samsung soundbar for another TV that was slightly more expensive and is very comparable (sound wise) to this product and does not auto turn off, unless I turn the source (like the TV) off, which is how it should be. Looking back, I would have ordered 2 of those instead of this Polk.
