||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The sound quality was somewhat of an improvement over the speakers in my 55" TCL tv, but the frustration outweighed the benefits. I tried both HDMI and the fiber connectors and saw no difference in quality or performance. The speech enhancer function did not seem to appreciably improve the quality of dialogue. The remote seemed to work sporadically, if at all, when used from more than three feet away from the unit. I had line of sight and fresh batteries but it would not respond consistently to button presses. Trying to switch volume modes or speech levels was an exercise in frustration as there are no equivalent controls on the bar. Finally, while the specs say it powers down 15 minutes after detecting no input, the sound bar would simply shut down at random times after 15 minutes, necessitating messing with the remote power button and then having to get up and press the power button on the bar when that didn't work.
