Sounds great in store, not at home

This Polk S2 sounded great, especially for the price. Both TV and music sounded really good. I took it home and installed it, and it sounded pretty bad. Thin and tinny with no spread at all. I cranked up the bass, but it was still bad. I double and triple checked my installation, and it’s installed correctly, but I was totally unsatisfied. We went off to Costco to check one one we found there (Yamaha ATS-1080). We bought that one and installed it, and what a difference! A deep, rich sound that spread out and filled the room. There’s no comparison here. The Yamaha not only sounds amazing, it actually costs less. I’m heading back to the store to return the Polk S2.
