Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Signa S2's sound quality, bass, and ease of use, frequently praising its impressive audio performance and user-friendly features. Many also appreciate the soundbar's compact size and affordable price point. While some users suggest improvements to the remote control and the lack of a display, the positive feedback on the sound and ease of setup outweighs these minor drawbacks. The Bluetooth connectivity is also a frequently cited advantage.

So after the bar was all connected, my family and I began watching a movie and about 10 minutes in the bar shuts off. I reconnect it and the same thing happens 10 minutes later. Problem, automatic shut-off with no way to disable. So every 10 minutes you’ll have pause and reconnect the bar. Poor Technology!!

Polk has a reputation for producing quality stereo speakers and sound bars. This one slipped through QC I went online to research my problem, and fund 2 others with the same as mine. The ratings for the model were more good than the few bad. I'd recommend Polk, but be careful of this particular model.

Sounds good when it works. It frequently loses sound in the sound bar, but the subwoofer keeps going. If you turn it off and back on, it returns to normal function. This happens about twice a day. I would not recommend this item.

    Great sound AND features!

Having just bought a TCL 55R617 TV, I wanted more in the sound department. I did some research and this Signa2 was rated as best for the money. Plus it has two nice features: 1) Allows for volume increase of just the spoken word x2 via the remote (so when mom is over and she can't hear the spoken word in a movie I don't have to increase the volume of the movie, I can simply increase the volume of the spoken word in the movie) 2) The remote allows for volume control of just bass. Which means I can increase the bass when I am playing some tunes via bluetooth and my iPhone and then reduce the bass to watch a TV show Set up was super simple out of the both. The sub paired seconds after being plugged in ( I had plugged in the sound bar first) The system sounds great! Remember this is only a 2 channel. But it does fill the room. The external bass is the bomb and can put out some thump. And lastly this system takes up very little room and is not very noticeable. It is heard but not really seen. But it is a good looking set up! I am happy with this system and would definitely recommend it.

I looked at reviews for Yamaha, Vizio, Bose and finally Polk. I had already listened to a family members Bose Solo 5 and wasn't impressed. Once at my local Best Buy switching between the various soundbars they had hooked up, the Polk Signa S2 won hands down. For those of you with out an HDMI ARC connection fear not. As long as you TV is CEC (Simplink capable) the TV or Roku will control the volume and mute the soundbar. The setting IE bass, voice adjust, movie mode ect, ect will need to be done with the Polk remote. Below is what I posted on Polk Audios website to help other users connect a CEC (Simplink) TV up to control the Polk soundbar. If your TV is Simplink (CEC) capable like our LG. You need to use the Simplink setting on the TV remote to have the TV use the "HT Speaker" (IE the Polk Signa S2). Your Simplink will see the soundbar through the HDMI cable and control it. The TV will then send the audio signal through the optical cable (Toslink). The instructions from Polk aren't clear on this at all. Two days of going back and forth between manuals and I figured it out. So in short, hook the Optical and the HDMI cable to your soundbar and TV. Set your TV remote to the HT Speakers in the Simplink menu. Our LG TV showed the HT speaker in the TV remote control Simplink menu screen. With this setup you do have to use the Polk remote for the different modes and input settings IE Bass, Movie, Music ect ect. At least now my Roku remote controls the volume of the soundbar. The only time I will use the Polk remote is to change settings or connect a bluetooth device. Hope this helps.
