I think it's great, clear vocals and the subwoofer has a nice punch to it. It doesn't boost a bunch of watts, but it can get very loud without distortion. I bought Polk speakers for my rea channels for my system in the living room, they are awesome.

Best buy returns sucks! 14 days and your stuck with it.

THE GOOD: Impressive sound quality and compact design. The 5.25” subwoofer fits hidden under the couch and I was able to get over all the sound issues others reported by just playing with the volume/mode controls and subwoofer positioning (placement in the room, choosing which side is down and trying on rug vs floor). THE BAD: there is no indication of input and volume so when you start it you will have no idea if you will wake up the neighbors or if this is on Netflix, cable, BlueRay or game console. While other systems at this price point have informative digital displays (Samsung form example) the S2 lacks basic analog. It has a few LED lights ...and they expect you to memorize the meaning of their blinking patterns. It’s lazy and cheap. Furthermore, these lights face up towards the TV bottom, notntowards you - a bit annoying . The remote control is lackluster too. Lastly -there’s only one HDMI input and optical input. That’s not super useful. THE UGLY: worst feature is an over-engineered annoyance that shuts down the unit when unattended for a few minutes. Pause the TV because of a phone call? Get ready to look for the stereo remote to restart it. Music finished playing 15 minutes ago and you want to start playing again? Rather than streaming from your phone or tablet in another room you have to face the unit with remote to turn it on again. That’s a long term annoyance I just couldn’t live with. (Apparently done to conserve energy and get some energy rating). Sorry no, I’ve had 20 years of stereos going on standby without turning off. This, and lack of volume/input indication makes for a deal breaker. Too bad because I really loved the sound and brand. Returned it.

Definitely was expecting something a little better.

For comparison I first bought the Vizio but had to return it because it didn't have HDMI hook up, which I need. So I searched and went with this Polk due to the high reviews and HDMI. This Polk istalls easily, quickly...my 11 year old installed it. I double checked everything and tested it out watching a little Avengers End Game. The voice is clear but I did not get a full surround sound. This lacked bass; I moved the subwoofer and tried again and still did not get the sound I wanted. This has too much crisp tweet and lacks clear bass, the subwoofer sounds muffled. It thumps and not bumps when playing music. I played with the remote controll and the various voice and bass options it did not get any better. The Vizio sound great when I tested it by BT connection on my phone playing music. If the Vizio had HDMI connect I would have been content. Anyhow, Im returning this Polk and will try the Samsung next. If you like clear crisp voice sound then you'll love this. If yoy like clear bass rumbles with no distorted muffled thumps you may be disappointed with this unit.

product wouldn't stay connected to tv not happy...

what a beautiful amount of sound that this compact speaker system produces. the bass is amazing and todays music and movies sound so so very good. i have this on the outside porch area going on 4 years now and it sounds amazing. the kids in the pool blast it to that new hip hop mumble rap and the speakers sound good as new. it plays make volume for hours on end and holds up good as new. Amazing system.

This is a great soundbar set up. Sound quality is excellent nice balance of highs and deep bass with several different set up modes along with wireless sub and Bluetooth..can't beat it for the price...installed this on TCL 65 inch 6 series and it's great

I don’t even have the sound bar yet!! You have my money and delayed the delivery and installation to the end of January 2023! I was told it would be delivered and installed the following week from purchase date! Very disappointed and frustrated! Sales clerk told me it showed for next week delivery and installation! Then rescheduled for 2 months later! Frustrated!

With no treble adjustment, it sounds a little flat. I used to have a 2011 model Visio HVT215 that had way better sound than this one.
