Bought the MEGACRA 120 Watt soundbar with subwoofer from Amazon for about 80$ but wasn't satisfied with the sound quality. Searched and read the reviews of both the Polk and LG 2.1 models here and on Amazon. Watched the reviews on Youtube and the LG model seemed to produce better sounds. Went to BestBuy and had the sales clerk played and tested the two speakers. The Polk 2.1 soundbar with woofer produced better sound overall. Bought and loving it but only time will tell if it will last. It's offers a 3 year warranty compared to the LG model. The 4 star reflected the fact this isn't top of the line audio system.

Literally the most complicated thing I have ever purchased

The sound is great for the price… when it’s actually working. I purchased the soundbar just over a month ago and noticed the the subwoofer cuts in and out every so often. The problem started just after a few days of use. I tried cycling power, tried both HDMI and optic options, reconnecting cables, repositioning the subwoofer for line-of-sight, etc, etc. The issue continued until the unit wouldn’t power on at all anymore after a couple weeks. Luckily I have total tech so rather than obtain a refund I chose to exchange the unit because it did sound really good when it worked. Less than a day of use with the new unit I’m experiencing the same intermittent subwoofer connection problem. Very unfortunate because this unit does sound better than a much pricier, popular Samsung bluetooth soundbar-subwoofer set I had for many years. The Samsung unit connection was always great and all worked perfectly for the many years I had it. I’ll be returning this second Polk unit and going with a different brand. I wish this unit worked consistently, I’d like to keep it but I’m not wasting my time taking a third chance on it. I’d give it 4.5 stars for its price point if it worked.

As advertised, delivers a big sound improvement over the Samsung (65-inch QLED) TV's speaker. The power cable for the bar could be longer - it barely stretched far enough for our plug, with nothing to spare. We are not using the remote control that came with it - instead we are using the Samsung remote still, and it works fine... except there is a slight delay for the mute button (1-2 seconds) to take effect.

Big sound for a small price! Was amazed at the quality of sound produced from these speakers for the low price. When u 1st turn on the unit there is a short lapse in time before the speakers transmit sound and the volume level does not display on my tv screen. Other than those 2 drawbacks, really good sound n even greater value. Very happy with my purchase.

Easy to use. The sound resembles what I was getting from a surround sound system.

All I can say is WOW! Way more than I expected. Literally 3 cords to hook it up and it was ready to go. Played Smash Ultimate and my son's eyes were as big as saucers! My Star Wars and Avengers movies sounds incredible. Way way more than I expected for such a reasonable price. Only cons are that the led indicators aren't labeled, and I can't tell what my volume is set at but the sound is truly rich and amazing. Highly recommend.

I've had this system for about 4 weeks--replaced a denen 1911--I am impressed with the sound and size and looks great

For the price, I wasn't sure what to expect. With the 5.1 decoding technology, the soundbar really does fill the room with great rich sound. This soundbar had better quality sound than some of the more popular brands. The rear speakers would be cool to add however there is no option to add speakers wth this bar but even without them you're still getting decent sound quality. Definitely not bad at all. I would even recommend this over the Bose Solo 5.

Great sound and easy set up. I would highly recommend.

I picked this up on sale for $149, and it is so much better than the other systems in the $200-$250 range that we tried out in store. It even rivals our expensive Sony soundbar & wireless subwoofer. Syncs easily, remote is simple and works from 15-20 feet away, maybe more that's as far as I went. EXCELLENT value even at full price in my opinion!

I listened to this sound bar in the store along with another customer as we were both deciding on which sound bar/woofer to buy. After hearing a Sony, Samsung, Visio and even a Kliptch(sp), this Polk unit sounded heads and shoulders above the others. Even when playing the same song, there was a very noticible difference in the sound quality. Even in my living room, this thing rocks for the money I paid!

Best bang for your buck. When it’s on sale, it’s a steal. Better sound quality then a more expensive Sony unit. I can’t add much more that hasn’t already been said as evidenced by the thousands of great reviews here. I’m very happy with it after trying two other sound bars. One was cheaper, one was more expensive but this one is the best.

Sounds great for movies. I won't give this above a four due to the fact that it is hard to find a way to control the sound on the TV that will also raise the sound on the soundbar. I find myself have to raise the sound on the TV and the speaker even if I have both selected as the sound output. Also, I don't like that you have to turn it on independently from the TV. Standby does not work. Other than that, sound great.

I've been hesitant on purchasing a soundbar because I could never imagine a single bar producing enough sound for my wants/needs.... I was so wrong. This unit has been incredible so far. Especially for the price. My kids even love the improved quality of sound instead of listening to the boring stock speakers in the tv. Polk Audio always has made an amazing product.

Good sound just haven’t learned how to adjust the system. Geek squad had another appointment the day of installation and didn’t get to show me all the detail’s. The Sam is true for the Samsung TV they were installing due to delay in the Samsung setup. Otherwise I think it is a good piece of equipment.

This Polk Sound bar is just what I needed for my small living room. Nice sound range from crisp highs to realistic lows. Great sound for tv, movies and music. I am very pleased.

5 years later still love this soundbar. Works great. Sounds great. What else can I want?
