The TV sound is terrible and the Polk sound bar made a huge difference. While it is not 3.1, it still has dialog settings to bring out what people are saying and reduces bass for very clear listening while watching tv. It was easy to program with their remotes for volume control as well. It may not be a favorite for younger folks wanting a theatre experience but it worked great for the in-laws.

great upgrade to our tv experience

It is extremely simple to install: just plug on the TV HDMI. Sound bar and subwoofer already came paired. The sound is good and it was a signficant improvement to our TV experience. We have a large TV room, high ceiling, 80" TV and this was a good solution without having to drill the walls or floor. We have been using for 1 month with no issues. I will be really happy if it holds for 2+ years!

Great system at a great price

We went in looking for a specific model, but found this Polk to be superior in almost every way! Very affordable, wonderful sound system for our smaller living room. Great for music, games, movies - everything! Would buy again.

The best sound bar I’ve owned.

Ive has an LG sound bar and it got taken back And get my money back cuz the sound was horrible. Im even thinking about getting a second one for my bedroom now. For the price and quality of it you can’t beat it. Will recommend to anyone I encounter that’s interested in buying one

Perfect for simple but solid sound

Hook up to an HDMI ARC input/output and the sound at turns on automatically when turning on the TV. Don’t need to use separate remote unless changing bass levels, or sound mode. Also has Optical sound option if you prefer. You don’t get full on 5.1 or 7.1 but most people don’t care (and neither do I.)

Upgrade for the Bedroom

Having been spoiled by a 5.1 speaker system in the living room, we found the bedroom TV's built-in speakers to be a little disappointing. This 2.1 system connected easily, looks good under the TV, and sounds very good. It has auto shutoff, but does not auto turn on. Unless I missed something, it is necessary to use the remote to power it on.
