I have been looking at home theater with a receiver verses the box systems and landed on getting a receiver for various reasons that are not really important to this review. After selecting a receiver finding speakers was a discouraging task simply because, well, the price! I looked and looked and noticed (as you may have as well) that the better reviews on the higher priced speakers were lacking enthusiasm and the bad reviews had some serious discouragement. My wallet forces me to sacrifice SOME quality for price SOME of the time but not here... I picked these up on sale luckily because I put the bulk of my budget into the receiver and was left with not as much as I like for the speakers. At first glance, the stats, did not send up any fireworks or urge to stop shopping and buy, but the sale price and reviews convinced me to try them out. I am hooked. Wow what sound. I used 12 gauge speaker wire and when I turned the system on the wife and I broke out all the good movies to see how our favorite scenes sounded. I mean even the commercials we watched over and over with the TV speakers we heard sounds we never realized where there! I had to produce the receipt because the wife just didn't believe I paid what I did for them. They work best as a part of the speaker team, make sure you get your center channel and sub woofer if aggravating your neighbors and blowing your socks off is the goal. My system is not impressive on paper by any means... 750 total watts, 4 speakers, awesome sound, and I still have a little coin left in my purse. We are extremely pleased with this product and the manufactures warranty. Do yourself a favor and pick you up a pair... or several.

Though there are better speakers you'd have to, at least, pay double of what these speakers cost. Even then I think one would still come up short. The T50s put out excellent bass, clear mids and precise highs at a price that can't be beat, plus they're efficient. Whether you're thinking about upgrading your home theater setup or starting an audiophile setup you won't be dissapointed.

Very nice speakers. They are a nice size and their sound fills up the room well but do not overwhelm. Not expensive either which was one of my selling points.

My son purchased these speakers for his birthday and was not disappointed. Very clear sound and trust me they are very loud.

It is a decent speaker with good sound especially since I now have subwoofers to handle the bass. I was upgrading my somewhat of a home theater setup. I originally had a Kenwood KR-V6040 powering 2 Kenwood KS-H51's and 2 JBL J2045 bookshelf speakers with 2 generic awesome sounding surround rear channel speakers. This setup in my basement worked very well, to the point that when my now college age sons were playing Xbox(Halo, Call of Duty, etc.) I sometimes had to look outside to see if it was raining and thundering due to the thunderous bass from the speakers. I now since moved my Kenwood receiver and speakers into my bedroom with my new setup taking its place. I had to upgrade because my Kenwood AVR didn't have any inputs for video, just audio. Now with my new setup, I can run my projectors, Xbox and an over the air antenna receiver without worrying about the audio. Bottom line is that my home theater area is roughly 20' x 20' and not even correctly setup and the T50's pull their weight.

I've always liked acoustic suspension (sealed) speakers for their accuracy of reproducing bass and these don't disappoint. Caught these on sale ($200/pair) and just can't beat them for their price - they are balanced, dynamic upon demand and no real need for a sub for music or movies. Remember they *are* super budget speakers and as great as they sound they should be placed in a small(ish) room and not over driven as the sound will fall apart. Moderation is the key to their use. Bang for the buck much like the Advents of old. Really can't recommend these more for the price paid.

I'm very satisfied with the purchase. Actually I'm very impressed with the sound quality. Very crisp highs with little distortion.

Difficult to place a definite judgment on these, after 3 months of delicate use. Have not tried to max these out, and do not plan on doing so. They seem to work well being pushed at nominal wattage (50 RMS), but are not so sensitive as to get in your face during a movie. That said, they reproduce spoken audio very well. For music, they are crisp and clear. The low end provides a noticeable improvement over several different pairs of bookshelves, which I used to employ with a turntable. The 3X 6” woofers are capable of a better overall sound experience than I had expected, although subtle, as well. Foe the price point, These towers by Polk are worth the trouble and cost. If your priorities fall hard on bright treble and hard- hitting bass, I suggest combining satellite speakers with a powered (or well-amplified passive) subwoofer, instead. I was surprised how good these speakers sound. I am using them in my home office for stereo music listening.with a Yamaha receiver. I also have a much larger Klipsch home theater system in a different room. These Polks have me reconsidering my lKlipsch purchase-I just like the tone and non-fatiguing sound out of these speakers. The bass is surprisingly full, even at low volumes. They don’t have the “crank it” factor of my Klipsch towers but they just sound more smooth, natural and detailed at regular volumes, and they are one third the price.

Pleasantly surprised with these. I'm using them for for music mostly. Initially I was a little worried that I wouldn't like the way they sound but I'm happy to say for my intended use they are fantastic. Mids and highs are nice and clear while bass is present but not overpowering.

Before buying this, I've read many good reviews of this product and read some pros and cons also. And I've visited bestbuy near me several times to listen to the sound through this speakers. The sound quality at home livining room is even better than bestbuy maybe because is not an open space and not as big as bestbuy. Even though I didn't use subwoofer yet but the amount of bass is pretty much abundant and the mid range is also good and I couldn't hear any white noise or something even with pretty high volume. I'm using yamaha rx v-679 receiver with this polk T50 speakers and really satisfied with the sound quality and I recommend this product for the beginners like me. All in all, it's beyond my expectation and the only cons I can find is there is only black color available, I hope polk makes brown color of this product also.

These floor speakers generate great quality sound for the price. Look great as well.

These are great and they were a great price. If you are looking for some great speakers these are worth it.

I use them as fronts in my TV sound system and they sound good. Real nice highs while watching movies.

Easy to set up and no issues after 1 month. These speakers create solid sound and are exactly what I hoped they were. Definitely recommended.

In a bedroom can't have a sub woofer or center channel. Looks nice and fits the decor. If we had a center channel and sub would be fantastic. But I'm really happy given the room constraints
