Great for small rooms

They struggle to fill a medium room and simply should NOT be used in a larger room. If real estate is an issue in your living space, then these are great speakers for such a small foot print. HOWEVER be aware that a powered subwoofer is crucial in order to enjoy music or movies. Without a subwoofer they can feel extremely underpowered.
