I purchased these to replace an old gigantic set of basement speakers for our exercise room. I researched them online and thought these would work as a decent bang for the buck speaker since they are only for a basement. When I arrived, Best Buy was having their Black Friday sale and they were on sale for 50% off as was the sub-woofer that is the match for these. Since they were on sale I purchased the pair and the sub-woofer. They sound great & take up half the space of my old 80's style speakers. The sound quality is plenty good enough to be used for a home theater set up if you wanted also.

These are the least expensive towers I could afford. They replaced a pair of Paradigm Titan v2 bookshelf speakers. I also removed a pair of subwoofers from my system which leaves a low end to be desired. The midrange and highs match well with my Paradigm center channel and front high and rear surrounds. With use I expect lower frequencies to warm up. The speaker walls are rather thin so I can feel some resonance, I'll experiment with blu-tak quiet that. I am also considering taking off the grills as they vibrate to the touch.

For the price might god they are great sound I love to play trashed metal and heavy metal and the sound is great I recommended to anybody who wants to buy them

These speakers rock! we purchased the Polk Audio T50 150 Watt Home Theater Floor Standing Tower Speakers to pair with our Denon receiver. They are AMAZNG! We also added the Polk sub woofer to get the rich bass sound. This system will totally blow you away. Way impressed with our purchase.

I purchased this speaker for a great price. I did not have an amplifier to connect it therefore, I had to return this beautiful speaker.

I am new to building a home theater system but my space is smaller and I saw these speakers go on sale. The bass they can produce would almost let you slide without at sub (if you were in an apartment maybe). These speakers are clear and I have not heard any distortion. I love mine and I would recommend (especially if below $100 each!)

I have always been a fan of Polk products. When one of my old Sansui speakers puked out on me I took the opportunity to purchase these Polk speakers and I am not disappointed. I actually look forward to playing music in my house again.

Polk Audio has made great sounding speakers for years. The T50 speakers are the buy of a lifetime. You could compare these to McIntosh or Revels and be very pleased at the competitive sound these speakers put out. Great high end, low distortion. If you like a lot of bass I would suggest adding a subwoofer.

I purchased these speakers a few months ago, and I have been very pleased with them, for being budget speakers they performed wonderfully, I like there clean design as being a simple tower design, I have no complaints. They are very clear sounding speakers.

Caught these speakers on sale over a month ago and I couldn't be happier. These speakers look nice and bang out quality sound!

sounds great got the entire set less the sub as i already had a BIC 1220 everything sounds great

High quality sound that won't hurt your wallet. I have a Bose surround sound in living room. I got this one for my basement. Honestly, they both sound almost the same! Worth picking up. Don't forget to get the subwoofer too!

First, I have really started to rely on reviews and I am always worried it was written my someone working for the company. I have just gotten back into listening to vinyl. I purchased a new receiver and wanted a decent pair of floor standing speakers. My budget was going to be a few hundred more than these Polk Speakers cost but I really wanted to hook everything up to the receiver (all I had was a pair of powered speakers.) We do have a relatively small space to fill with sound - but for the price I paid for these speakers - wow. We were definitely pleased and surprised by how well these speakers have performed over the first few days - can't wait to get them fully broken in to our music.

I purchased the Polk Audio speakers as a set for a 5.1 system. Very happy with them. I was a little scared when the floor speakers first arrived because of the size of the box!!!!! Turns out they were just packaged really well as to avoid damage. I am in an 18x24 room and these speakers are great!!! They are perfect for tv and movies. The system as a whole (I have a Yamaha receiver) is a little underwhelming when streaming music over Bluetooth but, that seems to be an issue with MANY surround systems according to the MANY reviews I read. That being said, it still plays music very well and could possibly be better if I used the auxiliary cord to connect the phone but, where's the fun in that? If you are like me and bought a HTIB and hate it but, don't want to break the bank, buy the Polk Audio speakers and a decent receiver and you should be VERY happy!!! I got my whole set with a new Blu-ray player for about $900.

I had a unit without speakers for my man cave to be complete! These work perfect!

I was looking for great speakers at a great price. I was not disappointed. Great price and great sound! Would recommend.

A must have for your surround sound system, they fit in perfectly next to my 70 inch TV, makes movies sound spectacular.

I am using my Polk T50's primarily for my movie/tv streaming from my projector. I absolutely love these speakers. They were low in price and exactly what I needed. I highly recommend for anybody looking for a low priced entry level speaker!!
