Many appreciate its stylish design, ease of use, and the value for its price. Excellent speakers for much less money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were looking for another pair of cheaper speaker system for our bedroom to mimic our living room speaker system (TSX330B, TL150, and PSW108) and we found the T50 is on sale for $79.99. It sounds excellent with our DENON AVR-S710W receiver. First, it sounds horrible with our Klipsch HD Theater 300 Home Theater System. We then purchase the T30 center speaker, the T15B bookshelf speaker and another PSW108 subwoofer. Then we ran the Audyssey speaker setup again in our DENON AVR-S710W receiver. Wow! What a difference. I couldn’t even tell the difference between our T50 and our TSX330B floor standing speakers. If you are like me who is always looking to save some money, for $80 go grab the T50 quickly before the stores ran out of stock. I have the feeling they will discontinue this product. I almost forgot to mention. We also have the TSI300B floor standing speakers whom I paid $100 more than the T50. We have the TSI300B set aside for now. We are still enjoying our T50. I really love the sound of Polk Audio tweeters.

Polk Audio Tower Speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are some of the best budget floor standing speakers i have ever bought. Replaced some Pioneer floor speakers that were to big for my entertainment area. These Polk speakers have very good overall sound decent bass. Not very heavy but good. Highs are overall very good. I have it connected to Sony STR-DH590. Says it's 145 watts per channel but it's more like 80 to 90 watts RMS. Perfect for these speakers. Would recommend.

Posted .Couple things could be the issue here. Depending were the item was purchased, you could try calling for hook up assistance. Or call Polk General Customer Service

If connected to a surround sound receiver, try switching the receiver to 2ch stereo.

A lot of sound for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned Polk Audio speakers for about 8-10 years. My first set was RTi10 tower speakers. I bought them to enhance the sound of my stereo system - my main speakers were a pair of Genesis 66 towers - gorgeous speakers, but old technology. The Polk's are a lot cleaner, but the Genesis has a nice warmth. Two different technologies, but I must say that the Polk RTi10's did make the stereo sound better. Next, I bought a pair of RTi8's for the bedroom. I put my Genesis 66's up there and I added the Polk's to fill in a little. They are very clean sounding speakers and they compliment the Genesis 66's. So a few months ago, I decided to buy my sister a pair of speakers for Christmas. I looked at the Pioneer towers - I didn't like the sound. Next was the Sony towers - I didn't like them either. I did like the Klipsch, but that was a little more than I wanted to spend. I also looked at the Polk 440 towers - nice speakers but a little more money. I finally settled on these Polk T50's. They were in stock and it was only 3 days before Christmas, so I bought them. My first impression was, boy, these are light - as I picked up the box. When I hooked them up, I again noticed the light weight. When we turned them on, I'd say the sound was pretty good. For the price of these speakers, they do sound good. I recommend these speakers as a nice looking tower speaker set Price is great.

Excellent speakers for the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just read the 2 year old review submitted by D Ralen, and I agree with everything he said - good history lesson as well! I pretty much have the same speaker set-up as DR, with the exception being that I recently purchased one of the 7.2 Yamaha Aventage receivers, which is just a mind blowing, powerful receiver! So my regular 5.1 set-up also includes the addition of a slightly older pair of Polk floor speakers, (sorry, can't remember the exact model since I'm on break at work), which are placed along the middle side. So yeah, right now, I have a 7.1 set-up, which includes the T50's in the front. For now, I have just one sub, two would be a bit overwhelming for my room. So what I have is a sonically complete Polk killer set-up, with an even balance response around the room, definitely articulated by the T50's in front. I also just purchased a Samsung 4K DVD player from BB as well, and my family and friends were amazed by the sound as we watched Dunkirk in 4K. With the 7.1 setup, I've discovered that you don't have to blast anyone out of the room to achieve great sound, but rather, you get an even, balanced frequency response, full bass, crisp mids and sizzling high's. So yeah, I'm a Polk convert for sure - you won't be disappointed with the T50's! I bought them on sale for $150 a pair, ridiculous price for the sound and quality.

Amazing Speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A+ . These things rock. They provide a full rich sound. Much better than a small bookshelf speaker. I would highly recommend these speakers. With just testing them I can't wait to hook them up to the surround sound system in the man cave. It turns out size does matter with these high quality speaker

Outstanding value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked these up over Memorial Day weekend on sale at half off, but still a good buy at full price. Nice clean sound and decent bass, and not much difference at all going up against more expensive speakers. Was thinking of also getting a sub for the bass, but these alone are just fine. Have them paired up with a Yamaha receiver. Perfect for my needs.

Awesome Speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my Front surrounds Bose 301 with these Polks and man what an improvement.. The highs and mids came alive. I started hearing sounds I didn't hear before. Could not believe what I was missing. Not saying the Bose were bad, I moved them to the rear and they perform much better than when they were in the front. For the price of these Polks I am truly amazed.. I never had passive radiators before, but they do sound great. Played some Metallica and iron Maiden on Youtube and was very impressed. I watched the Omaha beach scene in saving Private Ryan over and over just to hear the sound effects. I have always upgraded my car speakers to Polk Momos (discontinued now I believe), and I have a Polk soundbar in my bedroom. They were all great sounding. I might even switch out my side speakers Bose 191 with the Polk OWM3. These are powered by an older Pioneer VSX-1020 pushing 110w per channel. Great buy for $150..

Polk T50 speakers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound, look good. The hook up process is OK could be easier IF the connects were some form of a plug in connect (ie RCA type) rather than bare wire post connections but all the new stereo stuff seems to have switch to these :(

Clean
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with this purchase. My movie viewing experience has been enhanced over the past (almost) year that I have had this set up. I would certainly buy Polk speakers in the future. My room is moderatly sized so I never had a reason to really push these guys but what I do get is a crisp, clean sound. Happy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, I got the Sony tower speakers. Let me say this, yes the Sony’s towers are better. BUT what you get for your money go with the Polk system. I got the entire Polk system, excluding the bookshelf speakers, while they were on sale and I barely paid anything more. What do you want? Two tower speakers OR two tower speakers, a center channel, and a subwoofer. The entire system all together sounds amazing, and I already had two Polk bookshelf speakers that are still holding up from years ago. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Not as good as Polk S55, but close
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared with Polk S55 and with ELAC Debut 2 B6.2 using Sony STR DN1080 and an ELAC 3010 sub and an ELAC Debut 2 C6.2 center. The T55 is a bit better than the ELAC bookshelves as front speakers, and do not require a stand, of course. At $75 the T55’s are a buy. The T55’s outperform the ELAC bookshelves a bit, and on Black Friday they were priced the same. They aren’t quite as good as the S55’s but these are $229 today (July 16, 2019). Cymbals and glass breaking videos on YouTube have more presence on the S55’s, but it is being picky. The S55’s also have more volume, so for a big room would be better.
