Released during what is considered a classic year in sci fi, horror, and fantasy, 1982. What a year that was. This movie, even after so many years, still grabs you. I hadn't seen it in awhile, and yet I had so much fun watching it. Still so effective. A rollercoaster ride of a movie. The 4k picture and sound is absolutely superb.

For me, Buying classic movies in 4k is hit or miss. The best classic transfer in my opinion is Vertigo (looks better than movies shot today). Poltergeist 4k transfer is one of the best I have seen. The Film grain is not heavy and just perfect. the movie looks amazing and its one of my favorite. this is a collectors must buy.

The movie is a lot of fun, with older effects that might have been overly processed to produce a 4K version. But the video is excellent here, VERY filmic rather than processed in any way to look smooth/waxy. It's definitely a film of color where the HDR capture really shines. Audio is also excellent.

The movie looks very clean and sharp throughout, with a very pleasent grain structure. Detail can look really great in the outdoor scenes, almost looking like they were shot recently. Colors look great, looking vivid, natural, and with good depth. Overall a really good release.

Poltergeist is a boundary pushing PG movie with kids in jeopardy and some pretty scary scenes. Great performances and great visuals. VERY good presentation but it really could have benefitted from an Atmos option. I've loved it since my first viewing as a terrified kid

My favorite horror movie of the 80s and a must own 4K tittle for your physical media (movie) collection. So awesome it comes with multiple warning labels. One of the best looking 4K blu-rays of 2022. Warner Brothers home video releases set a much higher standard of film restoration.

Our favorite film experience, one of the best horror, and thrillers of the 80s, this truly is a great little film, that stands proud among the rest of the classics of the '80s. Story is strong, powerful, and intense. Well played characters, must see it......

My favorite horror movie, finally mine to own on 4k! Not heavy on the special effects, but this is totally worth the upgrade. A rare perfect movie, the scene in the kitchen with the chairs has got to be one of the best practical effects of all time.

You put the movie on 4k but you left the DVD didn't you!!??! Why?!?! Why?!?! Great transfer picture quality and sound. Another double dip but I could not pass this classic on the 4K. This review has been exorcised. Sorry couldn't help myself. I'll see my self out.

One of my all time favorite films , now in 4K! I saw this one in the theater in 1982 and it has not looked as good as then, until now. If you are a fan of the film, you can’t go wrong with picking this one up (unless you are scared of clowns).

Tobe Hooper's seminal 80s horror classic is given new life in this glorious 4k restoration. As someone who owned the old Blu-Ray edition from the late 2000s, picture and sound quality are vastly improved in this new release. Highly recommended.

I haven’t seen this movie for at least 30 years. I had a great time watching this and found it has held up since it’s release 40 years ago. I loved the characters and the nostalgia of the era. A classic Spielberg cinematic production.

Amazing how well this movie has held up since the early 80’s. And it has never looked better than it does here. I was upgrading from the original DVD release so this is a nice jump in quality both with the 4K visuals and the audio.

This movie is a true horror classic! I'm a huge fan of Steven Spielberg too. Zelda Rubinstein's performance still sends shivers up my spine! The 4K transfer is solid for those who are considering a purchase.

Poltergeist is still one of the most influential haunted house stories in movie history. From the set design to the score, poltergeist is a must have for film fan especially in 4k.

This 4k transfer looks amazing. Such an improvement in both colors and detail. Contrast is also much improved. Absolutely buy this classic horror movie! Don't wait do it now!

My first time seeing this film, but i was still impressed with how great the picture quality was. Great way to experience what many acclaim to be one of the all time best horror films.

This movie is a classic supernatural thriller. It is finally on 4k and looks great. These older films are looking better than the newer ones. Always a plus with HDR.

One of my all time favorite horror movies and now in 4k. Got it at great price during the black friday deals best buy never disappoints. Highly recommended for all horror fans.
