Essentially a rehash of the original with very few genuine scares. I would stick to the original film

But should have been better and at best this title should be a rental. Not as good as the original movie.

I was hoping for a better version than the original film. I thought with both the theatrical and extended versions on blu-ray, I'd get it. Nope. This film is more sorry than the original....and the original wasn't much. Don't waste your time and money on this garbage. Buy something better. Anything will do.

Sometimes a remake will at least do the original justice, but unfortunately this is not the case with 2015's "Poltergeist". Lacked the cohesiveness of the original, would only recommend for the most diehard of horror movie fans that are craving to watch ANYTHING newer in the genre.

special effects were good in 3d but the old movie is still better

It was a horrible knock off from the original one in the 80s Even the little girl look like the girl from first movie. This girl had black hair the 89's one she had blonde hair. They even had the same hair style. I'm sorry that I ever bought this movie. Zero stars in my book.
