I ended up returning - wasn't for me

I ended up returning this, it wasn't what I was looking for. While it said there was 100ft of range when using the USB connector, I wanted range to span between two floors in my house so I could stay on my work calls and still go downstairs and fill up my waterfall and not have my call drop/sound go out. So maybe it would be good if I lived in a one-story house, but it didn't work for me. I also determined I don't prefer having only a single ear; additionally that I prefer over ear vs on ear. So I'm sure this will work plenty fine for other people, just wasn't what I was looking for

The sound on this headset is awful. Everything sounds like it's in a tunnel and has an echo. Would not recommend for the price.

    I expected more from Plantronics

Perhaps my unit was defective, but everyone I talked to through this thing, whether it be smartphone or computer, told me that I "sound like I'm talking on a speakerphone 10 feet away." I work from home doing phone calls with clients, which is why I bought this, and my customers kept complaining that they couldn't hear me. When I got my company computer, it came with a wired Plantronics headset, which works great. So I naturally thought that a wireless version would work just as good. However, these were such a disappointment. Unfortunately, I had to return them.

No good for ppl with larger heads

No good if you have a larger head. The older Plantronics Voyager 4210 had adjustable space on the temple rest. On this model you can only extend the headset on the speaker side and it only goes to notch 6, not far enough if you have a large head. The temple rest side does not extend. For some reason they removed it. I wish I would've bought the older version Plantronics Voyager 4210 but it is no longer being sold. Most ppl don't have this problem so. But for me I dislike this headset.

Would not recomend for at home office. You can only get 5 feet from your computer before it disconnects. Also, does not work well in teams calls. Very scratchy and sounds like you are on a bad cell phone call!

This is the headset you want to purchase. Poly is a company formed by combining Polycom and Plantronics who have been in the business of video conferencing and headset manufacturing for quite a long time. Plantronics headsets were always considered the best in breed going back many years and the Voyager 4310 UC lives up to that reputation. Sound quality on both receiving and transmit is superb. Background noise has been reduced on both my phone calls via an Android phone and ZOOM calls from my PC and iPad. The PC uses the included BT700 High-Fidelity USB dongle. While it is not absolutely necessary this dongle increased my Bluetooth range considerably. One give away that Poly knows something about headsets is the fact that some of your voice is returned to the earpiece. This is called sidetone and prevents you from raising you voice on conference calls. The lack of this is why everyone seems to yelling when talking on cellphones ! I have used this headset on an iPad, an Android phone and a PC without any pairing issues. It has a memory of 8 pairings and can be connected to two devices at the same time. I find the headset comfortable after wearing for many hours. When turned on it will tell you the battery state and what device(s) are connected. This is a one side on-the-ear headset. The microphone can swivel almost 360 degrees so you can wear the headset on either ear. The MUTE button is conveniently placed on the microphone arm. Volume UP and Down controls are located on the back of the earpiece and have tactile feel, along with a multi purpose button that can call your assistant on the connected device. The companion software called Poly Lens is available for Windows and Apple IOS. This is where you can select the many available options for the headset and perform software upgrades. This is also where the user guide is located along with links to the quick start guide, device info/logs, and support should it be necessary. The IOS APP further includes a FIND ME feature that will cause the headset to emit a loud noise to aid you in finding it should you misplace it. The IOS App also tells you the remaining talk time left on the battery. A generous length USB A to USB C cable is supplied along with an adapter to allow the cable to be double ended USB C. This cable is used for charging or using your headset in a wired mode if not using Bluetooth. No power brick is supplied, which seems to be the norm now. Also included is a nice satchel to store your headset in when not in use. It even includes a small pocket for the USB A to C adapter. Now that is attention to detail ! This is an exceptional headset and I seem to have tried them all these last two years. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. This should be the last headset you should have to buy.

Quick Review ------------------- This is a great headphones to do zoom calls when you are working from home as most of us are either 100% work from home or working in a hybrid mode. Love the fit and the other party could hear me much clearer than the true wireless buds I have been using on my zoom calls. Pros ------ 1. Excellent battery life ~25 hrs 2. Good range ~165ft (even better with the base) Cons ------ 1. Would love to have speakers on both ears. Details ----------- Talking about the fit first, i have a large head and this headset fits perfectly well. The finish for headset this price is pretty good This works well with my Bluetooth enable desktop. If you have a older desktop which does not have Bluetooth enabled, this one also works with the USB adapter (comes with it) The setup is a breeze, no download of software needed plug and play. Mostly use this for zoom calls and works like a charm on the zoom calls. I wish this came with the charging dock (which needs to be purchased separately ) Otherwise it’s a great device,

So I received my Plantronics Voyager 4310 headset a few days ago and have been putting it through its paces. Upon opening the box you will find the Plantronics Voyager 4310 headset along with a USB Bluetooth adapter, USB-C to USB A cable, USB-A to USB-C adapter, soft carrying case, and user instructions. I love that the headset is very lightweight and can be work either on the left ear or right ear. The mic arm can be rotated either way depending on what side you choose to wear it on. On the ear cuff side are the volume up and down buttons. The center button can be used for Microsoft Teams (which I absolutely love), that my agency uses for our monthly trainings/team meetings. On the mic arm is also an easily accessible mute button that you can easily press to put any call on mute. The power button/bluetooth button is located just below the ear cuff. On my initial use of the headset I did have a little bit of a connection problem when I received my first call. I could hear my caller loud and clear, however, they could not hear me. After downloading the PLT Hub app from the App Store for iOS (also available for Android on the Google Play Store) and updating the firmware, my headset began working as it should. Other on the receiving end was able to finally hear me loud and clear as I was able to hear them too. Using the USB Bluetooth Adapter connected to your desktop/laptop, you can download the Poly Lens app from poly.com/lens (for Windows & Mac) to tweak your devices as you like from volume settings and ringtones to health and wellness reminders. My favorite is the enabling sounscapes such as mountain ranch, gentle ocean, or babbling brook. The battery life has been outstanding and I love the fact that I can use this headset while walking around the house. It has been an absolute blast using this Poly Lens app as well as the headset in general. Lastly, the headset is very comfortable to wear and does not hurt or start to irritate the side of your head that I've noticed in other headsets.
