Customers are saying
Customers express satisfaction with the Voyager 5220's sound quality, comfort, battery life, and Bluetooth connectivity, frequently praising its lightweight design and range. However, some customers reported issues with the fit, occasional connection problems, and a perception that the volume could be improved. A few also felt the price was somewhat high. Overall, positive feedback on sound and comfort outweighs concerns about fit and connectivity.

Solid Bluetooth Headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to replace my Bose Series 2 Bluetooth headset due to a failing battery. In my mind, it is the gold standard for headsets - crystal clear voices on both ends, even in noisy or windy environments. Initially, I purchased the Beats Bluetooth wireless in-ear headphones. The incoming voice is clear, loud and natural sounding. Unfortunately, the microphone has no noise cancelling features and the caller could hear every sound around me. I received constant complaints and no longer use the Beats for calls (only exercise and entertainment). The Voyager 5220 delivered much better results. Callers on the other end rarely report problems/difficulty hearing or understanding me. Occasionally, the boom gets too far from my face and callers will say that I faded out. In terms of incoming voices, the volume is low. I have it turned up to the maximum level on my iPhone and the speaker jammed into my ear. It's fine in quiet places (car, home, office) but hard to hear in noisy environments (train, train station, airport). Having said all that, it's usable.

Excellent bluetooth ear piece.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great earpiece. Very comfortable and great sound quality. I can hear the person on the other end very clearly and they can hear me clearly, even when I'm in a noisy environment. I use this to listen to music and radio from my phone, while I'm working. The battery lasts very long.

The best headset ever and it delivers as always
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality and range is where this headset sets itself apart. I guess there must be something to the 5.1 technology because it has way better range than my 5.0 earbuds. I make several calls a day from my work and I'm constantly on the phone which is why I use a headset. I have previously been using a bigger "call center" style headset that fits over the ear. The sound quality is amazing but they are also about $150. I wanted to get something different because they are cumbersome and kind of annoying. These have been far better than I expected. I waited a long time to switch because I assumed the sound quality would go down both on my end listening as well as my voice delivery but this has not been true. I highly recommend this product if you want something that is comfortable and compact.

Great Bluetooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros- Charge does last all day, I take calls, text and occasionally listen to music and only have to charge once a day. Sound is very crisp and clear. It announces who is calling when receiving calls. Still works during work out with sweat and even large movements doesn't fall off. Has a universal charging wire. Charges very quickly. Ear piece doesn't go all the way in ear so it fits comfortably and after a few days you don't even realize you are wearing it. Versatile can be worn on either left or right ear. Most of the time the noise cancellation works perfectly, only problem I have had is when in a vehicle it sometimes picks up the a/c blowing through vents. Cons- Sometimes you have to repeat or speak loudly to tell it to answer or ignore the call. Charging wire that comes in package is very short, but it is universal so you can find longer ones easily enough. The buttons to hang up or ask questions are hard to find when on ear, it just takes time to get used to finding them blind.

The Best? Maybe
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, in my many years of using headsets, I cannot find one that beats this one! Just can't! These are the best as far as clarity, both reception and on the other end. Noise cancelling is very good! Comfortable to wear for me anyway. Okay, the ding. Why is there a sensor for the ear??? I don't get that. I know why it's there, but it is useless to me. It only works about 50% of the time. It CONSTANTLY breaks connection with the phone (ear) when idle. Also, when it breaks connection with the ear, it won't voice dial. It still accepts incoming calls, but won't ID them. I finally gave up and turned the ear sensor off. NOW it works great! IDs callers in my list, voice dials fine, and stays connected to the phone EVEN when off the ear, which I don't do anyway. If I take it off, I shut it off. That sensor really is not needed. That is the only reason for the 4 stars. So, totally ignore the ear sensor (turn it off), and you have a great headset!

The best head set for the person on the road
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best head set for the person on the road. There is no road noise or wind for your caller to hear. Its software is updatable and its very light for its size. I wear it for 9-12 hours a day. Only draw back is the composite material begins to degrade after 3 years or so with the mingling of body oils.

Great Bluetooth Headset for Business Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to replace my LG Tone Pro that had been extremely reliable for 6+ years. When I tried to purchase another I was quickly informed by Best Buy associates, that they no longer offered their extended warranty for LG products because the quality of them had degraded to the point where it did not make sense to carry or warranty them any more. The recommended choice was Jabra. After much research I actually decided to go with a Blue Parrot (B350 XT), forgoing the advice of the associate. After using for a 3 days I started getting complaints that people could not hear me and it was not the most comfortable (Over the ear) to wear for extended period of time. So I caved and exchanged it for the Jabra 45E. Hoping this would be the equal to the LG Tone Pro's I was very excited. Long story short, great sounding but could not keep the buds in my ears. Falling out constantly. The are oblong shaped buds and not a good fit for my ear at all. I also kept catching them on things as they do not retract and just kind of hang down on your shirt where they were susceptible to catching and just being in the way overall. I did like the quality and the extended warranty that was offered so I took them back and purchased the Jabra Talk 45. Again I had trouble with them fitting in my ear and my customers complained they could not hear me. So after consulting my many of my colleagues, the overwhelming feedback was to go with Plantronics. These are the most comfortable and best sounding bluetooth headset out of the bunch. I have received compliments on the sound quality and I can hear very well with them. I would give 5 stars but after a week of using them, the voice prompts have ceased that let me know if they are connected or not connected to my laptop/smart phone device. It also stopped providing talk time updates as well. So I will take them back to the Geek Squad to see what they recommend.

great over ear, blue tooth headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Poly-Voyager 5220 is excellent one, over ear headset. It's light, comfortable with clear audio and solid mic. Decent all day battery life for in office work. 3 member of my team have been using it. Although known to be fragile where the mic pivots, we're using them carefully.

Good sound quality, but a little glitchy.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a good quality BT headset that would connect to my work phone (iPhone) and my personal phone (android) simultaneously. I bought the Voyager 5220 because it was "Designed for iPhone" but compatible with android. I need the hands free capability mostly at work where I am constantly driving and receiving calls. I only gave it 3 stars because while the sound quality, battery life and comfort are all great, it constantly looses connection to my iPhone but not the android. For the price, and the fact that it was designed for iPhone, I expected a lot more. If you only need this device for one phone, you'll probably be happy with this one. So, I would recommend it, but not for use with two phones.

Posted .Thank you for your honest review on our Voyager 5200, we are sorry to hear you experienced trouble with your unit.
You might want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headset to see if that helps the issue. To do so:
1. Delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices.
2. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone.
3. Re-pair the headset with your phone.
If this does not fix your issue, we suggest pairing the headset to another cell phone as a test. If the issue is not present on the second phone, then the problem may be with the first phone, rather than the headset. If the issue exists on the second phone as well, you will need to replace the headset.

If you have facial hair
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this specifically for the boom mike. Having facial hair makes the bone conduction style pretty much hit or miss. Use it mostly for work, I drive a truck so hands free is required by law, so it's on about 14 hours a day. This is the second one I've had so if you plan on using it a lot get the service plan because the battery life starts diminishing after about a 1 1/2 years. Very comfortable to wear, I sometimes forget I'm wearing it until my wife reminds me. Reception and transmission has always been good, even up to about 50 feet away from the phone. It connects to more than 1 phone at the same time so I can use it with my work and personal phone at the same time.

Great noise cancelling mic
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had one of the older models of this and it was great. Eventually the battery died out. This new model is awesome for blocking out background noise on the mic. I went thru a loud factory and only my voice could be heard. Downside to this newer model is the earpiece is really tight and hurts the back of my ear because I wear glasses that mess with the fit. I don’t care for the mono so I ended up ordering the new dual ear model with plain earbuds and mic around the neck. If you don’t wear glasses and mono works ok for you then this is the one for online meetings. One other downside is I can’t go farther then 20 ft from my computer and it drops.

Ear piece I can use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.after many purchases, and trials with other BT ear buds, this is the one I'll keep and use, very comfortable, good sound quality, for both sides of the call, nearly a full work week of use on a single charge, connects to both work and personal phone. I highly recommend the Voyager 5220

The King of Bluetooth mono headests
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every area of criticism is great on this headset. The audio quality is superb, the noise-cancelling is great, battery life is very long, google now and siri integration is seamless, voice actions are very resourceful (ex. say "answer" to answer call if you have no free hands) and the headest if very comfortable on either ear.

Best bluetooth headset I have ever owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a lot of research I purchased the Plantronics Voyager 5220 Bluetooth Headset and I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I often have long drives where I need to make and receive calls and, previously, I had received complaints from people who could tell I was taking the call from my car as I was using a much cheaper, inferior, bluetooth speaker. Once I started using the Plantronics Voyager 5220 Bluetooth Headset, I asked my friends if they could tell where I was and they could not distinguish between when I was at the office or in my car or on the go. This headset has a long battery life and can connect to two phones which is perfect for me. I have it connected to my personal phone and my work phone via bluetooth and that way I can receive calls from either source while on a long drive. I also really like how it announces who is calling and allows me to verbally indicate whether I want to answer or decline the call. I do not have to push a button and can keep both hands firmly on the steering wheel.

Overall one of the best in this form factor
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had 3 or 4 of this model over some years and tried a few others in the same price point. My purchase date is the most recent one replacing one I broke. My likes: * Fits well, doesn't hurt me. Some have ear buds that are too big, this one's default is exactly the size for me and the shape works better than some others. * Sound can be made reasonably loud for me to hear in my loud Jeep. * People can hear me reasonably well while I'm in my loud Jeep. * It doesn't amplify noises such as keyboard -- some lesser devices make keyboarding into firecracker noises for the other side. If there's a lawn mower outside my office window, people can't here it. That's better than many. * I sound normal. Other brands at similar price points next to this one on the shelf get me complaints of sounding faint/distant/whatever. I'm unclear what the problem was, but I returned them and bought another one of these. * After testing a brand that uses a power button that you have to long press to turn on/off, I love the power switch on this one. Never lose that, never go to button for power. Switch is king. My chief complaints (nothing huge but took a star off so maybe these comments get noticed?) : * It has mini/micro/whatever-USB(it's not usb-c). I get it, USB-C is a hair bigger so the electronics probably don't fit. Unfortunate but the competition is doing it... Also the rubber plug for the USB usually breaks off inside a week but it's just in my way so that's fine. * They are NOT flimsy, but I did manage to break one just outside of the Best Buy return window. I believe it was a manufacturing defect in the rotator neck/cuff. Complaint is: Best Buy doesn't offer their warranty for it. I might be able to return it to manufacturer but haven't tried. Other notes: * I don't use the software. I make MS Teams call my cell anyway so rarely enable bluetooth on the windows laptop. But when I do, teams works fine without the software. Slack doesn't - I can use this ear piece as either speaker or mic, but not both at the same time. Kinda weird.
