I have been using this headset for 3 years so far, and I have had to use my warranty and swap it out once. It has good battery life, excellent sound quality, and I sometimes forget it is on my head, so comfort is top-notch as well.

Very simple to use with my iPhone. The headset is lightweight and you barely notice it is there. Sound quality is good and people on the phone can hear me clearly. Battery charge lasts a long time and when you turn on, device tells you how much battery talk time is left.

I've had 3 or 4 of this model over some years and tried a few others in the same price point. My purchase date is the most recent one replacing one I broke. My likes: * Fits well, doesn't hurt me. Some have ear buds that are too big, this one's default is exactly the size for me and the shape works better than some others. * Sound can be made reasonably loud for me to hear in my loud Jeep. * People can hear me reasonably well while I'm in my loud Jeep. * It doesn't amplify noises such as keyboard -- some lesser devices make keyboarding into firecracker noises for the other side. If there's a lawn mower outside my office window, people can't here it. That's better than many. * I sound normal. Other brands at similar price points next to this one on the shelf get me complaints of sounding faint/distant/whatever. I'm unclear what the problem was, but I returned them and bought another one of these. * After testing a brand that uses a power button that you have to long press to turn on/off, I love the power switch on this one. Never lose that, never go to button for power. Switch is king. My chief complaints (nothing huge but took a star off so maybe these comments get noticed?) : * It has mini/micro/whatever-USB(it's not usb-c). I get it, USB-C is a hair bigger so the electronics probably don't fit. Unfortunate but the competition is doing it... Also the rubber plug for the USB usually breaks off inside a week but it's just in my way so that's fine. * They are NOT flimsy, but I did manage to break one just outside of the Best Buy return window. I believe it was a manufacturing defect in the rotator neck/cuff. Complaint is: Best Buy doesn't offer their warranty for it. I might be able to return it to manufacturer but haven't tried. Other notes: * I don't use the software. I make MS Teams call my cell anyway so rarely enable bluetooth on the windows laptop. But when I do, teams works fine without the software. Slack doesn't - I can use this ear piece as either speaker or mic, but not both at the same time. Kinda weird.

Works well for blocking out background noise. This really is about the only feature that gets praise. Battery life is halfway decent and it is fairly comfortable... not bulky like the other headsets I've used. The mechanical switch has given me issues after a month of use, and the bluetooth disconnects randomly from my phone and is quite annoying. The buttons don't work well for disconnecting and answering calls. I liked the older version better with the electronic power and answer/disconnect buttons. I would have taken it back, but BestBuy only allows 14 days, and of course the issues started after that. Guess I'm going to the Mfr.

Thank you for your honest review on our Voyager 5220, we are sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble with your unit.

In order to troubleshoot connectivity or audio issues you might want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headset to see if that helps the issue. To do so:
      1. Delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices.
      2. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone.
      3. Re-pair the headset with your phone. If this does not fix your issue, we suggest pairing the headset to another cell phone as a test.

If the issue is not present on the second phone, then the problem may be with the first phone, rather than the headset. If the issue exists on the second phone as well, you will need to replace the headset. Please don't hesitate to contact our customer care group at www.plantronics.com/support if you require assistance. Plantronics

#4 in a long line of Voyager Headsets

I have been using Plantronics Voyager headsets for almost eight years. I have enjoyed the great sound, range, and all of the features. The only weakness in these are the microphone. I attribute it to sweat ultimately disabling the microphone, but I have had 7 of these, with 6 microphones failing after different lengths of time. Best Buy has replaced two (extended warranty), and Plantronics has replaces several after warranty for goodwill. I love the multi-phone connectivity, the announced caller ID, voice prompts, and reliability. The charge is good for between 5 to 7 hours of talk time. If you purchase the charging case, you can get days out of the combination. I give the headset 5 stars despite the weakness of the microphone, as it is generally well after one year before the loss. And the customer service at Plantronics has been great.

This Plantronics Voyager 5220 Bluetooth is terrific, it is light weight and has long battery life and the sound quality is excellent from both ends of a call. The optional charge and carry case is great giving you and easy way to charge on the go. I believe its the best Plantronics unit yet.

This is my 3rd of this style and I still really like them. Overall very comfortable, good battery life, and above average audio both directions. Downsides, the gasket between the earpiece and the housing is very cheap and I go through at least 1 a month. The rubber coating on the body doesn't hold up well to heat and now has some wrinkles in it. They have eliminated the battery life notification feature to add Alexa and Google features

This is my third headset from Plantronics in the Voyager legend series. With the increase in price it now comes with a car charger. Pros: you can now charge different ways, same light weight and very comfortable feel, great noice canceling, dual pairing options. Cons: bad sound quality when streaming with call enabled, turn off call and sound quality is night and day better but why? Volume has improved but which it was a little louder.

After nearly 3 months with the product. This product is very good and it’s just what I needed. The main problem I had was that it didn’t connect to my work computer right away the same way I was able to connect to my phone. It could be a problem with the work computer’s bluetooth connection, but I don’t remember what I found at the time. I had to buy a separate adapter so the computer could connect to the headset. I really love that I can connect the headset to my phone and computer at the same time. I’m able to listen to music from my phone and I can answer work calls from computer right away. I hear the ringtone from Teams to interrupt the music, which is good and bad. I tried messing with my settings so that I can ignore notifications from computer when I’m listening to music on my phone, but I had to keep messing with Teams when I answered the call since my music kept wanting to kick back in and ignore the caller. I had to revert back to the original settings. I also don’t like that the music from my phone will stop when I receive a message from Outlook or Teams and I have to manually press the play button on my phone again each time that interruption happens. Taking phone out of my pocket a bunch of times to do this is annoying throughout the day. I love that I can walk away from my desk at work and go grab something else around the office while we’re in a meeting without losing reception to the speaker. I’ve had quite a few times where the earpiece cut out for a few seconds for no reason and I wasn’t sure if it was faulty wiring. Minor annoyances, but a fantastic upgrade from a wired headset. I bought the charging case as well, but I wish it was in a bundle the way the Elite model is sold. I wish the battery life is longer on the Voyager, but the Elite provides a longer battery life. I’m able to charge my earpiece in less than 90 minutes (I do this daily). I am very happy that the earpiece connects right away after turning off car stereo if I am on a phone call. This product is worth the money. Buy it and make your world more convenient.

After wearing it for a few hrs you forget it's even there. The battery is also great. My first charge lasted me over 15 hours of standby and talk time. Also calls come in clear and crisp. Answering calls with your voice has never failed either.

Matches the functions & fit I have been looking for exactly! Very comfortable for long times on the ear and the choice of earpiece sizes is great, and easy to swap with a notch & twist lock system. Power life is solid for the size of this earpiece, around 6 hours at the max charge. Feedback from those I've talked to is great, with minimal bluetooth degradation or distant sounding voice distortion. Can work as a music earbud too if desired. The assistant features I rarely use but it has a key built in feature to give this the 5 stars: total hands free answering. When I get a call it will state the name of the caller and ask "answer or ignore". Never need to touch the headset if my hands are busy.

Nice and light. Wish it had a volume boost for noisy areas. Had a problem keeping it connected to my phone when making a call - it kept switching back to my phone speaker when the call picked up. Took a while to figure out but there's a setting in the Plantronics app to disable a feature that senses if you remove the device from your ear, that's what was causing the problem. Disabled the Device Sensor feature and it's working fine now.

I've owned 3 of these. The 1st, a Legend model, just wore out after 4 yrs of continued daily use. 4YEARS! The second, this model, I broke rough housing with my kids and it still functioned daily for over a year after. This is my third unit and I am still impressed with sound quality everytime I answer or make a call! I spend a lot of time on the road and I can hear clearly, and with the noise cancelling ability of this unit my customers hear me clearly to. Wind or road noise is virtually non existent. Battery life is adequate for a full day of use and many times 2+ days dependending on call volume and talk times. Longer when I'm not speaking on the phone! This is the BEST unit I have used and I've tried alot of them. Yes it's on the pricey side, but in my experience with these, you get what you pay for. In this case, MORE! This is an exceptional headset .

The Poly-Voyager 5220 is excellent one, over ear headset. It's light, comfortable with clear audio and solid mic. Decent all day battery life for in office work. 3 member of my team have been using it. Although known to be fragile where the mic pivots, we're using them carefully.

This is my 2nd Voyager 5220 The first one would not download my contacts. It is totally hands free allowing you to accept or deny a call verbally. The caller I.D. and noise cancellation work most of the time. The battery life is very good and the remaining percentage is also announced when you put the headset on. It does loose my phone connection at times...frustrating. Very bulky and way too expensive. I am going back to the Legend.
