Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the Voyager 5220's sound quality, comfort, battery life, and Bluetooth connectivity, frequently praising its lightweight design and range. However, some customers reported issues with the fit, occasional connection problems, and a perception that the volume could be improved. A few also felt the price was somewhat high. Overall, positive feedback on sound and comfort outweighs concerns about fit and connectivity.

I've had my Voyager ear piece for over a month now and find the sound quality and battery life to be excellent with my ssmsung Galaxy Note 6 The Bluetooth connection is quick from cold switch and instantaneous when connected. The voice commands and prompts are nothing more than what you get in even the basic models these days, but it also does not get complicated - it tells you who is calling, how much battery life is left and whether to accept call or reject. Battery life is typically 6-7 hrs. Only negative is that the volume awitch is behind ear and is a bit awkward to adjust while on call.

I returned mine, but only because it just didn’t fit right. I wear glasses, and it was a bit of a challenge to get it on my ear right and just didn’t feel right. Sound quality was acceptable. I only had the chance to compare the call quality with these inside a house. The call quality was nearly identical (in my experience) to my Bose QC35ii, but who wants to wear giant headphones all day while talking on the phone. Again, work great and seem pretty fancy but just didn’t fit me right.

Really good item for me. Good sound quality and the charge lasts several hours when listening to music while working. Only drawback is the earpiece covers that ripped on me ahead of schedule and was a pain to figure out.

I read some of the reviews and was skeptical about buying it so I bought the Plantronics Legend but in the back of my mind after I bought the Legend I really wanted to buy Plantronics Voyager 5220 so after a couple of days I went back to Best Buy and got the Voyager 5220 and let me tell you I have not had any problems with it nothing. I love it. I can hear the other person clearly they can hear me clearly. It's super comfortable that sometimes I forget I have it on. The person in the other line can hear the air from air condition hitting me in the face or any wind noise. Amazing product.

I've used a number of Bluetooth devices over the years, and find this one to be the most effective overall for myself. I have trouble with the devices that just sit in your ear without any support, so I always look for one with some type of over the ear support. This one fits quite comfortably as the large behind the ear piece hols the device comfortably in place. The sound quality is fantastic, it has good range distance away from the device, and the extra length boom mic helps pick up clear speech.

This unit is very clear with excellent noise cancellation. It has excellent battery life and is very comfortable to wear. Charges on a USB micro connection which is common to other devices.

This little guy did exactly what I expected it to do. I drive all day and need something to overcome the road/wind noise and still provide clear communication. I have asked many people on the receiving end about call quality when I KNOW there is background noise and they always say it's Crystal clear. I bought the battery accessory for it separately and it's awesome. Charges the headset several times and provides a strong travel case. Only gripe is that the rubber earpiece that goes into your ear is proprietary and cannot be swapped with any aftermarket silicon piece. Very impressed with this device after trying so many others that just couldn't make the cut. Very much recommended.

I keep coming back to this style of headset, from Plantronics. I have tried a few others and been largely disappointed. The 5220 just DOES IT! Sound quality is fine on both ends. Battery life is fine at this point. Love the way it monitors that. Noise cancelling is great! If I have to knock it a little, it has dropped connection to my iPhone twice, but I think it had to do with the fact it wasn't all the way against my ear. It does sense that. Once I adjusted it properly, it hasn't broken connection again. I really like these! Don't hesitate to get one!

Bought this BT for use at work while driving and doing other things where I need to be hands free. When you power on the device it connects almost immediately. Battery life is good, BT let's you know how many hours you have and estimates about 6 hours of talk time on a full charge. I'm skeptical about the noise cancellation feature and it's existance because when I ask people if they can hear certain noises in my background they State that they can hear it with no problem. On the users end, noise from the background of the person I'm speaking with appears to be enhanced for example if the person has the television on I can hear it quite clearly while the person states the television is on a low volume. At times the BT will connect to the phone but will have a lot of static making the person sound like a robot or to the point where you can't understand them at all and will have to turn the BT off and on multiple times to get it to work properly. The BT does not notify you when a call has ended which I find very annoying because if I want to be certain that the caller on the other end is truly off the line I have to Physically check the phone to ensure I won't say something aloud to embarrass myself after I think the person has hung up but didn't. The app interface seems pretty good and you can change some of the features which is cool but after the first few days I barely use it. Physically the BT is comfortable. I can wear it for an extended period of time and often will forget I'm wearing it. I personally don't like how the boom (microphone) sits far out away from your face as I would prefer something more discreet. Being able to use this BT on either ear is a nice factor and is convenient. All in all not a bad product.

Thank you for your honest review on our Voyager 5220, we are sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble with your unit.

In order to troubleshoot connectivity or audio issues you might want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection between your phone and headset to see if that helps the issue. To do so:
      1. Delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices.
      2. Once deleted, power your phone completely off, then power it back on. This resets the Bluetooth stack in the Bluetooth software on the phone.
      3. Re-pair the headset with your phone. If this does not fix your issue, we suggest pairing the headset to another cell phone as a test.

If the issue is not present on the second phone, then the problem may be with the first phone, rather than the headset. If the issue exists on the second phone as well, you will need to replace the headset. Please don't hesitate to contact our customer care group at www.plantronics.com/support if you require assistance. Plantronics

The sound quality is very clear, and certainly loud enough for most situations. The three sizes of ear pieces allow it to be comfortable for all most any ear. I would have gone 5 stars, however the charging "system" that came with it are just a cigarette lighter adapter and a USB cable. The charging port on the earpiece is covered with a rubber flap which is tight and I would think easy to rip off over time. Although I can go for three days without charging, I have already ordered an aftermarket charging cradle.

This has been a great headset, no connection issues, great battery life for a full day of work, I can hear well and be heard well. One small issue to be aware of is that if you have it hooked up to a phone and a computer and you're on a video call and get a call or notification on your phone, the audio cuts away from the computer for a moment which is rough if you're the one talking. So I simply turn my phone Bluetooth off for computer video calls.

I have no issue with the electronics controlling this Bluetooth Headset. It paired quickly and always reconnects seamlessly. The audio is clear and for my use the battery is long lasting. The only complaint I have is that circular earpiece itself will not remain in the ear canal. It remains inline with the ear canal and the audio is clear and listenable as long as the volume is high enough. I would just feel that it is more secure physically if it remained anchored in the ear canal.

I've used the Voyager and others for a few years but this model 5220 tops them all with the best quality in terms of connectivity, audio quality and noise cancelling capabilities. I use it daily for business calls and conference calls. Long lasting battery with 7 hours of talk time and easy to use volume and call controls from both the smartphone or the headset itself. Great call announcement ability when contacts are already established within your phone. Absolutely a must have for iPhone 6 users as previous models have had quality & connectivity issues with the iPhone 6.

This is much better than wearing a headset. The battery only last me one business day, but that is sufficient. I also have it connected with my PC and phone and go between the two of them seamlessly.

I was looking for a Bluetooth headset that I could use with my work phone and my personal phone due to the new hand's free law set to go in effect in Georgia on July 1, 2018. This works like a charm. I love that both phones connect easily. I love that there is far less background noise when using this compared to having the phone on my lap using speakerphone. In fact, I've driven 72 mph and people could not tell I was in the car. It's light and it is comfortable. I've worn it yesterday while driving approximately 200 miles in the car yesterday for work. A great purchase and a lifesaver because it keeps you from having to search for your phone.

I have had a Plantronics, now Poly headset for the past 7 or 8 years. the comfort and sound quality are un beatable. Indoors or out the noise canceling work perfectly. I have a second head to switch too as the other charges in the portable charging case.... love it.
