I have had so many issues with the previous unit I even replaced my phone twice thinking it was the phone causing the issues. I purchased this just to try a new headset and all of my issues were solved. This unit fits better has better clarity and you can hear the person loud and clear.

This model is noticeably better than previous model. However, the battery life is nowhere nearly as good. My old one lasted 3-5 days, depending on my usage. This one is down to less than an hour by the end of the 2nd day.

Great ear piece. I've had a few over the years and like everything else they eventually stop working but for the amount of use they get compared to the cost these are great ear pieces

Plantronics Voyager 5220 has always been my favorite BT headset. It's always performed very well. So, I highly recommend them for a person on the go.

I have had this type of Bluetooth for about 10 years. It wears out after 3 or 4 years, and I get a no charge replacement due to purchasing the extended warranty. If it did not work well, I wouldn't replace it.

I like this earpiece but prefer my old jabra steel. The Bluetooth on the Voyager crackles more frequently than I would like. Returned to the Jabra Steel. Also, the Jabra is easier to carry in my ear

This Bluetooth works very nice because the noise canceling feature works on it even I can't even hear it every one in my truck

Main issue I had was the mic picked up background noise and made the voice recognition do weird stuff. Admittedly it was a very loud area and in moderate to quite environments it worked well.

It’s a decent piece, just don’t like the fact that the last one broke on me, but it’s a good thing I purchased the protection plan and returned it with no questions asked and replaced with a brand new one.

I was skeptical at first, I tried out the Voyager Legend and hated it, I returned it and got this one, I have no complaints, rarely staticky, but nothing too bad, it's a wireless device, it'll have its hiccups

I bought this hands free headset for my husband as he often has to answer business calls while driving. He currently has an older car that does not have Bluetooth so this has been great for him. He is rough on products but this has withstood his use.

This headset had a lot of static even st close range The noise reduction was good, limitations in range and sound quality outweigh the good. I retuned the device.

Have owned several of these, stays put on your ear well and once I changed the settings it worked fine, as an eyeglass wearer, it weren't clear that the sensitivity settings caused it

I bought this as a gift for my Dad, since he talks on the phone so much. So far he has been happy with it, the voice answer does not work on his phone though. Other than that it seems like a good headset.

After hearing about the new Voyager 5220 and how it was supposed to have superior noise cancelling capabilities, wanting to upgrade from the Legend I bought one. Unfortunately, I found that there is no difference between the Voyager 5220 and the Voyager Legend and the noise cancelling. Also, the 5220 is somewhat larger that the Legend making it less comfortable to wear and it doesn't fit as well. If you are looking to upgrade from the Legend I would definitely think twice before purchasing the 5220.

Thank you for your honest review.

We consider the noise cancellation capabilities of the Voyager 5200 series to be superior compared to the Voyager Legend, although since the Legend already had excellent noise cancellation this might only be apparent on scenarios where there is a lot of background or wind noise.

The ear tip sizes for the new Voyager 5200 have also been adjusted. If it's not as comfortable as it was before you might want to try another ear tip size. Plantronics

Hi! Thank you for reviewing our Voyager 5220, we are sorry to hear you were not able to find a comfortable and secure fit. These headsets are designed to fit the vast majority of ear shapes and sizes; however, we do know that one size may not fit all and if you find the product too uncomfortable for normal use we strongly recommend that you consider using a headset with a different wearing style. We will forward your comments to our Product Development Team, as we appreciate feedback based on customer use to create the best possible products. Please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team at 1-888-363-0726 if you require assistance. plantronics

I bought this for my mother (who isn't the most tech savvy person in the world) and after pairing it to her phone and explaining a few of the different features of the device, she went out into the world and was making and receiving call and hearing directions from her gps like a pro.
