Don’t stay charge long enough

A little disappointed

I kept pairing and unpairing but I couldn't get crystal clear quality on either end so I had to finally return. They weren't terribly expensive but for the price I paid I expected better from Plantronics.

The Voyager 5200 is one of our best communication headsets and specially engineered to deliver superior call clarity. It has built-in four-mic active digital signal processing (DSP), acoustic echo cancellation and six layers of protection against wind noise. In order to troubleshoot audio issues we recommend to reset the connection between your phone and earpiece. To do so: https://goo.gl/emzUTA. You might also want to ensure your unit's firmware is up to date as well as to reset the Network settings on your phone. So Not Happy

I generally get approx 18 months out of them. I use them daily and heavily with work. The last two (both within 8 months) has been a disappointment. I thought the first one that stopped working was possibly a bad egg - and purchased another one. I did NOT call support or return - simply don't have time. The 2nd one continues to loose its connection to phone, I thought perhaps it was the Galaxy S20+, but connected it to iPhone same issue and MS Duo same issue. When it does not loose its connection I have constant complaints from callers taht they cannot understand me - same complaint that I had on the previous. For me I really like the design of this devices but am trying to find an alternative. firmware upgrades did not resolve the issue.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback on our Voyager 5220; However, we're deeply sorry to hear about your experience. The life span of the product depends on the usage but on many cases they last for way past their warranty period. Please rest assured there are several troubleshooting steps that should fix this type of issues. Connection issues might be related to the smart sensors. These detect the pressure from your ear, however there can be several environmental conditions like having the earpiece a bit loose from your ear or wearing glasses. This could be triggering them, consequently sending the call back to your phone. To isolate the cause of the issue, disable the master sensor through our Hub Software for Desktop. Make sure you plug the earpiece powered-off through the charging cable. Then go to settings>sensors>master sensor. If you wish to use the sensors, you can also reset them: charge your headset and place on a flat non-metallic surface for more than 10 seconds. Ensure the unit's firmware is up to date through Hub. If you still get the same results even after performing the previous steps, then the earpiece might have an actual problem and it is best to replace it. This model counts with a one-year limited warranty. We will surely forward your comments to our Team for review and consideration.
