Customers are saying

Customers commend the Voyager 5220 for its excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long-lasting battery life. Many users appreciate its reliable Bluetooth connectivity and lightweight design. However, some customers have noted concerns about the fit being a little loose, the volume being too low, and the range not meeting expectations.

I've had it for about two weeks. It works well. The Plantronics app helped me reset the sensors. The only reason I have it four stars is because it would set better in my ear if it was a little longer from the apex of top to the ear speaker but that's probably just my particular ear.

Very comfortable and sound quality is great but battery life is awful (and has reduced over time). Initially I got 6 hours out of a full charge and now its down to 5 hours.

Great compact headset with good noise canceling. Love how it folds up so you can put it in your shirt pocket. Also like the over 7hrs of talk time and the ability to charge it two ways. If you can find it there is a charging case that it will fit into that is nice and portable and will recharge it at least 2 times before needing to be recharged.

I love this headset, though I may need to invest in the foam covers. If I leave the phone in my car, as I walk further away it tells me that I am out of range. The range is actually pretty good and the battery lasts about 3 days depending on the talking. I like that it has both the mini charger and the magnetic, wasn't previously happy with only the magnetic.

Use it daily for conference calls. Really Love this headset. Very Clear and Easy to connect. stops the wind/background. Pricier than other products out there but I've been told and from reading reviews, the general consensus is that it's worth the price and one of the best products on the market at this time. If you wear glasses like me, it becomes uncomfortable after some time.

Been through many iterations of the Plantronics Voyager headsets and they've all been really good. Given the same design, I figured I'd try the 5220. Headset works great, just as I've come to expect except it keeps having issues with my iPhone 6S Plus. It will say that it is connected, but when I answer the call, I can't hear the person and they can't hear me. I have to power down the headset and then turn it back on for it to work right, if the iPhone reconnects, which sometimes it doesn't. Works 100% perfectly on my Android phone, Droid Turbo 2, that I also keep paired simultaneously. I've been able to minimize the issues by turning half of the features off on the headset, like the answer when you put it on your ear. I think it's more of an iPhone issue than a headset issue though.

These are by far the best ear piece I've ever owned! I make a lot of calls on the road and every ear piece picks up a lot of background noise, making calls nearly impossible, but not these. The feedback I've received has been great and folks can actually hear me! Glad I finally found an answer!

Have owned many different Bluetooth devices over the years, but always come back to Plantronics, paired with iPhone right out of the box in less then 20 seconds. All the features are very easy to use and the sound quality and clarity is the best on the market, and always nice to catch this one on sale, considering the high price.

Amazing noise canceling makes for great audio quality for the other end, but I have never found a Bluetooth that stays on my ear. I end up holding it to my head the whole time, which just defeats the purpose of the BT.

Hello and thank you for your honest review! We are sorry to hear about your experience with the Voyager 5220 headset. While we aim for our headset to fit everyone, we understand that one size doesn't fit all, that is why we include 3 different eartip sizes to better adjust the fit. We also carry foam covers to further improve it, please contact Plantronics Customer Care at 855-765-7878 so we can send some foam cover for you to test. Plantronics

Unit functions fine while driving a Semi Truck with all the background noise. BUT if you wear glasses it's just plain stupid keeping any kind of fitment. Darn thing feels like a limp noodle draped over your ear. Distance is only about 25-30 feet with the phone inside the Truck. My Truck and Trailer are 78 feet long combined so I need a lot more distance. And do research on what happens if the battery is totally drained down and you try to get this thing turned on again. Next time maybe I'll try a Sennheiser.

Thank you for taking the time to share your honest review. We're sorry to hear you've had trouble with the fit. These headsets are designed to fit the vast majority of ear shapes and sizes and many of our users wear glasses, but comfort will depend on the thickness of the temples. As for Bluetooth range, please note the Voyager 5200 is a Class 1 Bluetooth device (up to 98 ft of range), but to get the full benefit of the extended range, your phone needs to also be a Class 1 Bluetooth device. If your phone isn’t a Class 1 Bluetooth device, then your maximum range will be closer to the standard 10m/33ft Bluetooth range. Building layout and materials,or in this case if your truck is between your earpiece and your phone, it can affect how far wireless headset signals will reach, which influences roaming range and density. For example: Concrete and metal construction blocks wireless signals, reducing the potential for interference while limiting roaming range. On the other hand, large windows or a central atrium allow signals to travel farther, allowing greater range while potentially increasing density issues. We hope you will find this information useful. We will surely forward your comments to our team for review and consideration. Purchased the earpiece a while ago to use for my work. The microphone is amazing on it, and the call quality is fairly decent as well. The issue I had with the product was the charging case coming separate for 40$. The 7 hour battery on the headset tends to only last around 5 hours or less.
