Great Headset

A quality headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Voyager Legend is a very close match to one that I purchased years ago. I would traditionally use it for handling all incoming and outgoing phone calls while in my car, at least until I purchased my Bluetooth-capable car. Now I primarily use the Voyager when shopping, walking around, waiting at a doctor’s appt, and the like. The button layout of the Voyager is identical to my old one, and consist of buttons for Power/Pairing, Volume, Pause/Mute/Voice, and Phone/Google/Siri. The Voyager has sensors built-in, such that when I’m on an active call or listening to music and I remove the Voyager from my ear, it senses that the unit is no longer positioned on my ear and redirects the audio to my phone instead. Once the Voyager is back on my ear, the sound is automatically redirected back to the Voyager. And it all happens completely transparent. Pairing the unit to my phone was simple. Press upward on the Power button and hold for about 4 seconds. An announcement in the ear piece will tell you that you’re in pairing mode. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and look for the PLT_Legend device. Select it, and now the pairing is complete. To make a call, press the button at the end of the wand and hold for a couple of seconds. Then say “Call” and the name of someone (or business) in your contacts list. To hang up after a call is completed, press the phone button once. When you receive an incoming call, the Voyager will announce the name of the person who is calling you and will ask if you’d like to Answer or Ignore. If you say “Answer”, it’ll automatically answer the call for you. Say “Ignore”, and it will ignore the call. If you want to pause the audio when listening to a streaming service, press the small button on the side of the wand. It is an especially small button, so you might have to feel around for it first. This same button will mute audio if you’re on a call. I found that I had to hold down this button for at least a two-count before it would pause or mute. I spent 20 minutes on a phone call (that I initiated from the Voyager) and was told that my voice came through crystal clear. And I could hear them just as clearly. The literature says that the unit has multi-microphones to optimize your voice, and based on my testing it works quite well. The Voyager also has a Caller Announce feature that announces the name of the person calling you, so you won’t have to look at your phone to figure that out. The Voyager comes with a medium earpiece installed, plus has two spare earpieces, one large and one small. Each has a foam cover for comfort and to keep the earpiece in place. I did find that with my old unit I had to replace the foam covers since they had a habit of deteriorating over time. In my case, I’m taking about after 3-4 years of use. The specs indicate that the Voyager Legend supports up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 11 days of standby time. It also indicates that it’s sweat proof. The Voyager comes with what Plantronics calls a magnetic charging connection. This is a magnetic dock that you’ll use to charge the Voyager. While this charging connection works fine, and has worked fine all these years with my older unit, I really don’t prefer this charging approach. If you lose or break this ‘charging connection’ you won’t have any choice but to purchase a replacement. It differs from every other headset that I have that use industry available USB charging cables. While replacing this charging connection costs less than $10 online, you would have to go potentially for days waiting for a replacement to arrive. Aside from the charging connection, I have a real affection for the Voyager as it has served me well for many years. And I expect this new model to offer the exact same level of excellence. This is a keeper!

Smooth Operator
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this is your more traditional phone/headset style, living in the world of earbuds. Right off the bat, this is designed and visioned for phone calls and usage in the nature. This isn't for the person that is going for the jog... Use the right device for the right usage. Easy to connect, light on the ear. Clear sound. Single taps to answer calls. Voice-Control is as good as any other device out there. I was able to have it on standby for many hours, and only a marginal usage of battery life. If you are someone that does a lot of time on the phone, and need some privacy when maybe in the car (instead of the full car system). This is a great device. Only downside it is a little larger to carry in a backpack or something like that, as compared to some other device. But if you are using this mostly in the car or at a desk, absolutely perfect.

A Good Bluetooth Ear Piece
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Voyager Legend Bluetooth headet is a fairly decent headset with a few caveats. First off, like every other Plantronics audio device I've used it has outstanding bluetooth range and ease of connectivity. Syncing with my iPhone took less than a minute and I've been able to leave my iPhone at one end of the house and step out on the front porch (about 60 feet away through a few walls) and still have a solid connection with no appreciable loss of sound quality. It's rather small and light so there have been a few occasions I've forgotten I had it on. The boom mic rotates so you can use it on either left or right ear. Included are a few different sized ear pieces so you can get it to fit right for your ear. As far as sound quality, folks I've spoken to couldn't tell I was using a bluetooth headset to speak with them, However, to me at least, the sound quality on my end tends towards the tinny side. This is fine as you'll only be using this for phone calls. Battery life has been outstanding. I've used it for a four hour phone call and barely put a dent in the battery. Standby time seems rock solid as well. One warning, the included charging cable is propitiatory and is rather short. It's plain old USB on one side so you can either connect it your computer or a spare wall wart charger. I'd have rather seem something more universal for charging but considering how small this is it would probably have made the device larger than what Plantronics was shooting for. That and the tinny sound are my only complaints in an otherwise outstanding device.

Posted .Hello and thank you for your honest review on our Voyager Legend headset, however, we are sorry to hear about your experience. If your are having some audio issues with the headset, you may want to try resetting the Bluetooth connection with your mobile. To do so: 1) Unpair the headset from your mobile phone by accessing your Bluetooth settings. 2) Power off your mobile phone for 2 minutes and turn it back on. 3) Re-pair the headset by pressing and holding down the call control button until you see the LED flashing red and blue. 4) Access to your Bluetooth settings and select "PLT_Legend". Once successfully paired, you will hear "pairing successful" and the LED on your headset will stop flashing red and blue. You may also want to check if your headset doesn't have any updates available through Plantronics Hub: https://bit.ly/2NNfqpE. Last but not least we recommend testing the headset with a different mobile to completely isolate the issue. If for some reason you still encounter the same issue with the headset, then it means it could have an actual problem and it is best to replace it. Remember this unit counts with a limited warranty since the first day of purchase, and if you need a replacement you can simply click on the following link for further instructions: https://bit.ly/2N637EC. Our intention is to provide the highest quality products to our customers and we thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. A Solid Bluetooth Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Plantronics - Voyager Bluetooth Headset is a solid unit. Plantronics have a long reputation of making quality communications and audio equipment so when I needed a headset for taking calls in my car they were the first company I looked to. Despite a few small personal annoyances I am not disappointed. Packaging, and most importantly build quality are all excellent. The controls are intuitive. Pairing was simple. Call quality is excellent. The few minor annoyances for me are the earpiece. They give you a few different sizes to choose from, but none of them are overly comfortable in my ear. You have to remember that this is not like a typical earbud. It sits flat in your ear to allow you to still hear ambient sounds which is necessary while driving. The other annoyance is the proprietary charger. It is a nice charger. The contacts are magnetic so that's good, but if you forget your charger at home you are out of luck. If you want to have a charger cable in your car and on your nightstand you have to buy another charger. I would much rather see a USB solution. Despite these few minor issues it is a high quality unit, and I would definitely recommend one to anyone in the market. Thanks Plantronics.

Good Earpiece
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highway traveling w/hard rain & wipers on or highway travel with passenger window down the call recipient says it sounds like I’m in the same room sitting next to them & hears no road noise. Very impressive. On my end, the fit and sound quality are just barely acceptable. Wish it was better but I’m keeping it.

Solid Bluetooth Headset for voice calling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plantronics has a long history of making similar looking Voyager headsets and this looks to be a plain-name reboot of the popular design. I can't really find any notable, major upgrades other than the magnetized charging contacts on the USB cable that are a nice touch and give you that premium experience of being able to quickly charge or remove your headset. The only downside is that's a proprietary cable, so if you lose it, you're out of luck. There also seemed to be subtle Siri integration as voice commands seemed to work just fine. The headset is overall light and solid looking. Sound isn't great, a bit distant in the earpiece but the microphone works very well. I am comparing against Air Pods and LG BT behind the neck headsets that I've used as Bluetooth calling headsets. Soon I plan to upgrade to PowerBeats Pro, at which point I doubt I will use this headset much at all. I wonder if/when Plantronics will make the plunge into something that fits both purposes as I described above for both music/recreation as well as Bluetooth calling since you can do that pretty easily with any of the Bluetooth headphones on the market today. It is nice that the single ear design allows you to listen to ambient sounds and this is still a good choice for anyone who is in a call center or on the phones all day, especially if you use a desktop VOIP client with BT capabilities. I'll use it in my car for car rides home calling the wife but otherwise I will most likely just carry my other BT headphones.

Great Headset!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw a lot of videos reviews and decided to get this headset. It honestly is all the great things I heard on these videos. Very good capturing and quality, Some people have said that the ear piece is too bulky, but I disagree, I think is perfect for it to actual keep things steady. The different size of ear pieces it comes with is awesome. I totally recommend this headset.

Comfortable with Nice Quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high expectations for this headset considering who made it. They exceeded them. The audio quality for calls is excellent. People hear me without any issues and I hear them just as well. While this headset has the ability to play music, it is not made for that and buyers should not expect much in that category. However, it is great for podcasts and audiobooks. It produces speech with no issues. The multiple sizes of ear buds allow me to find a good fit and maintain comfort. Since it wraps around my ear, it does not fall out when I move my head. Unlike some similar style headsets, this one stays in place. I do not have to periodically reposition it like I have needed to with other brands. Operation is simple. Toggle switches are so much easier than some models that cram ten functions into one push button. I simply flip the switch and it turns on. The connection time is the fastest I have ever seen. It literally connects in about one second. The voice prompts are easy to understand. When it comes to programming, they have made life much easier than other models. Simply plug it into a computer with the free software from Plantronics and it is possible to program everything on screen. This is so much easier than running through audio menus on the headset itself. I really like this feature. Additionally, it is simple to update firmware and download other languages if something other than English is preferred. The voice control features are limited but impressive. When my phone rings, the headset starts playing my ringtone, announces "Call from [person's name]. Answer or ignore?" When I say either option, it instantly follows the correct command. This is excellent when my hands are tied up whether cooking, driving, or whatever else. Overall, I am happy with this headset and would definitely recommend it.

Great headset!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is very sleep and comfortable on the ear. It was very easy to pair no problems at all. Once paired you can immediately tell the quality in sound from the receiving end as well very crisp sounding callers have no problem hearing me and I have no problem hearing them. The best part is the answering feature, it says the callers name or number and all you have to say is answer or decline you never even have to pick up your phone.

Excellent Bluetooth Headset for Clear Conversation
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Plantronics Voyager Legend is a quality headset for phone conversations. It pairs quickly via Bluetooth and provides a reliable connection to a phone or computer, offers three earpiece sizes to fit a wide variety of ears, and the battery pack/control module fits over the ear providing extra security. One of the strongest features of this headset is the ability to block ambient noise at the microphone so the user can be heard clearly. I tried several calls, some in the car with the windows down, and was heard clearly in each case. The earpiece provides clear, quality sound as well. There isn't really much more to say. It just works as it should with good audio quality on both ends. Charging is accomplished using a USB cable and your computer or existing charging block. It seems a little odd to me that the block is not included but by now we all probably have several more than we can use at any one time, and any 5 volt USB charging source will work, so it hasn't been an inconvenience and it saves a charging block from the landfill. Power and volume controls are located on the battery/control module which rests above and behind the ear, and all controls are easy to use by feel after just a few minutes. This is a good headset for the price if your mission is communication. I especially like the versatility of being able to use it with my Mac/PC for Skype or Facetime in addition to using it with my phone.

Comfy-fitting, multi-device supporting earset!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth headset really fits the bill for your wireless earset needs (I call it an "earset" because it's really designed for a singular ear). While out of the box you will have to charge it, and the charging cable isn't the longest (maybe 6 inches at most, and you can't use another charger, because the charging port that connects to the earset is custom for this device), it does work quite flawlessly. Two devices were used to test -- a Windows 10-based laptop with Bluetooth connectivity and an iPhone Xs MAX. In both cases, both devices easily were able to pair up with the earset with no issues. Plus, I was actually able to hear from both devices at the same time! I'm not sure what that would get you, but there are most certainly applications whereby one might need to have simultaneous connections. Phone calls were great over the iPhone, and a secondary button on the earset allowed for reasonably easy muting (the built-in voice prompts clearly indicated when the earset was on or off mute). Overall, I'm pretty happy with this earset. The next bit of testing will occur regarding longevity; the aforementioned voice prompt said that, at full charge, there was 7 hours of listening time.

NICE BLUETOOTH HEADSET
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Plantronics Voyager Legend Bluetooth Headset is a nice product and very easy to use. The packaging was attractive and contained everything you need to quickly get started using the headset. Instructions were minimal, but had exactly what you needed to know. The headset was very easy to figure out and get using quickly. The bluetooth connection worked easily with my old Blackberry phone and both worked well together. The controls were easy to use when I had the headset on and the unit is very light weight. I'm not used to wearing headsets, so it was a little uncomfortable wearing the headset ... but probably "just me". I very nice product for the price!
