Has some good action in it but turns into a total chick flick at the end with all the romance

I could not tell weather I was watching a 3D or a 2D movie. 3D quality was very poor.

Very nice 3-D effects , not a very good movie mediocre acting

This movie was a love story that didn't end well....

After wanting to stop the movie 5 times while watching it I fast forward it to the last 20 minutes and felt like I was in a video game. Paul W Anderson need to retire his directors chair. Sold it the next day on EBay.

Visual was great in this movie. But the story was terrible. I was so disappointed. It was not the epic love story it could have been.

This movie in 3D was breathtaking! Story line and acting not the best but a thoroughly great B movie. Action scenes and the volcano erupting were incredible! The last scene was touching!

This movie has good special effects. The plot isn't too bad, this wasn't meant to be a historically accurate portrayal of Pompeii and the last days there. Overall an entertaining movie.

$7 well spent, great picture, acting, plot,.. couldn't find anything wrong with this film other than it wasn't longer or the sequel wasn't included (:

The story is a mixture of other genre favorites and is serviceable. The 3D is great but could use a little more pop - still the 3D version is the one to get.

I simply don't understand how the customer reviews for this movie average over 4 stars on the BB site. Virtually everything could've been done better. The storytelling is disjointed and contrived. They hit every cliche in the book. The acting is wooden, although with such a script, maybe that's understandable. I simply didn't care what happened to any of the characters. The final CGI eruption scenes are really over the top - instead of sticking with the terror and inevitability of being engulfed in a pyroclastic flow, the director opts for a full-blown lava bomb assault followed by a massive tsunami that is magically stopped by the city wall. Kit Harington's seeming endless battle with Keifer Sutherland, when you'd think the latter's character in particular would be fleeing for his life, is ridiculously far-fetched. In this case, RT's rating of 28% is about right. To put my rating in context, I prefer Troy, which probably says a lot, as there was certainly ample room for improvement in that movie.

I thought that Pompeii was a good movie to watch, but could have been a little better.
