This movie did tell me about a catastrophe that I did'nt know about. As I was watching the movie it felt like I had heard it all before. The cinematography helped draw you in to this story.

The history of Pompeii is breathtaking and has so much potential for great stories to be told, and I feel the filmmakers really missed their mark with what they could have done.

I enjoyed watching the movie but pretty unbelievable CG work in many places, acting fair by unknown actors. I would recommend it but can't say it was an excellent movie, but watchable.

This movie is great in 3D, but it has a terrible script. I would recommend this movie only if you are watching it in 3D. If you are watching it in 2D, don't bother.

If you like action disaster flicks you will like Pompeii. As with disaster movies though it is a very sad story.
