They really do make a big difference especially if you have larger phone. I have the IPhone 7 Plus and using the pop socket makes it more secure when holding it and works great as a stand.

Very happy with it. Love that it can be moved and washed to maintain its adhesiveness. One drawback (with mine, not my daughter's) - the circular cover popped out twice - I lost it the second time it happened but it still functions fine without it...
