It was kind of a no-brainer to get one of these mounts, if you bought a PopSocket. They go hand-in-hand. It mounted to my dash securely and provides an out of the way checkpoint to secure my smartphone.

Doesn't stick to some smooth surfaces. I cleaned the space as suggested and it still won't stick. I gave it three stars as it finally did still in my husband's car. Not worth it really. Get a real phone holder. Sorry
