It pops out for easier holding and can be used as a stand. I like to pop mine out and spin my phone around like a windmill when I’m bored.

I did have to super glue the base onto the back of my case so it would stay and not come off. so a little sturdier glue would be nice.

It’s kind hard at first to swap them out. You have to twist it just right. Also you have to place it right the first time. I accidentally placed mine to low on my phone, so when I went to use it as a kick stand it wouldn’t hold my phone up, so I tried to peel it off and re-stick it in a different location and I almost broke it. The sticky back is super strong and will leave residue. But after fixing it, it works perfectly fine. Also suppose to work with wireless chargers too.
