I placed it just under the 1/2 way point and my phone doesn't prop. My fault and not the product's fault, so do a little research before attaching it.

I currently only have one attached to my iPhone 7plus and it has helped handle to phone immensely. Have caused the top to pop off from extreme stretching the limits of the socket. Top goes back on easily.
