They make it easy to hold the phone and you are less likely to drop the phone. It can also be used as a stand. The pop socket makes one handed use a breeze.

The only reason i took off two stars is because while i was waiting for it to dry/be ready for use i noticed that the adhesive was discolored/dirty around the edges
