Didn't stay stuck

I bought one for myself after seeing my kids use them and thought it would come in handy. I have a leather apple case for my X and the pop socket doesn't stay stuck to the leather. My kids have no problem with their cases. So as long as you don't have a leather case I think you'd be fine because you get a better stick.

Daughter loves it!

I guess for $10 what do you expect. But she does love these and seems to be an the craze right now with the kids. Personally, I can't see myself using one of these but if it helps my daughters phone from slipping or off her hand and saving the phone from damage (which she claims it helps with) then I'm happy.
