Purely a personal preference, nothing wrong with the kickstand. If you like this kind of product, this is a great buy. My sister bought one at the same time and she really likes it and used it all the time!

I put it on the back about 2/3rds down. At that location it will not hold the phone up on a table. Now I need another one sitting about 1/3rd down for balance when the phone is laying down on its back. Advice to put it is putting it 1/3rd down from the top.
