PopSocket, it pops and it collapses

Have the iPhone 7+ with a case and it's almost too heavy to use without feeling like I'm going to break the PopSocket. Also, if you have a car mount, be sure you make sure you can place the PopSocket that works with the car mount while driving and while you're using it in your hand.

Poor guidance

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bough a new Galaxy S23 ultra, immediately I went across the street to Best Buy and bought a screen saver and this pop grip item. I showed my new phone to the person on the floor and asked if this would work with my phone. There where a lot to choose from and needed direction. Not more than a day later, my phone detached from this item and continued to not adhere to my phone. A friend told me these do not work with phone that have a metal case. Don't bother with this if you have a phone you don't want to have fall and break. I will be returning this item as well as a crappy $50 screen saver that also did not do it's job.

Posted .Thank you for your review, Elizabeth! We are sorry that your PopGrip did not adhere to your new phone, and for the inconvenience, this may have caused you. Please note: PopSockets bases are engineered to be super sticky and most compatible with smooth, flat surfaces. PopSockets bases will not stick as well to silicone, highly textured, as many soft cases on the market. They also will not adhere as well to iPhone 11 and up models or the Samsung Z3 flip phone models without a suitable case.
Not recommended to stick to leather or fabric/textile cases. Our super sticky gel may damage leather cases when trying to reposition or remove the base.
The gel does not stick "as well" with naked iPhones. While it does stick adequately to a naked base model (and sometimes to Pro/Pro Max depending on circumstances), it will not stick "as well" as if you used a suitable case.
Not Sticking: If your PopSockets product is no longer sticking, follow the steps below to reactivate the adhesive gel on your PopSockets product.
Step 1: Give your PopSockets gel a quick rinse.
Step 2: Let it air dry for 10 minutes. Do not leave it out any longer, this will cause the adhesive gel to dry out entirely.
Step 3: Stick your PopSockets product back onto your phone, and let it sit for a few hours before engaging it again. This will ensure a stronghold. If above does not apply then that should not happen, and the item might be defective. Please return it to BestBuy or contact us at cs@popsockets.com. We'll be happy to assist.

I have an iPhone 7+ and it is difficult to find a good spot to connect this where it will support the phone as a stand. When it's retracted the popsocket doesn't allow your phone to lay flat. It's useful to help keep from dropping the phone and the adhesive is very strong. I'll continue to try it out.

Not quite what I expected

It does do the job however, and it doesn't look too bad. Just not quite what I expected. It may have explained what material it was made of in the description but I didn't read that far. It was a good deal however and I am using it a lot.
