Been having problems with my thumb because my new smartphone is wider than the old one one, so took advice from the grand kids and got a pop socket. Being able to grab the phone by a handle on the back does take some stress off the thumb. And I was able to find one in basic black. rather than one with a loud psychedelic design, a picture of a pop star I've never heard of, or a cartoon of a cat flipping the bird.

This is the best thing to grip and comfortably hold your phone! Good to prop up on a table etc

I bought one of these for my wife and daughter when we upgraded our phones. They absolutely love them, and also have the car adapter that lets them hange htier phones on the dash. I don't use one, because I keep my phone in my pocket. If you keep it in a purse, or use a holster, they are good.
