    Charged twice for install. Paid online and instore. Bestbuy refuses to refund installation charges that were placed on Credit Card. Talked to 4 different departments and also talked to the store.

    damage done, not happy

    My door panels are ruined, so I tried talking to geek squad about a damage claim, not only its tedious and taking up too much of my time, but it seems they're not honoring their work, or their costumer. For example, they said they would call me Monday about the damage claim, but it's Friday and they still havent called.

    When I arranged to have the installation done at a local Best Buy, I was asked whether I had purchased the installation online. I was further told that the price was not applicable and that I would have to return the online installation and pay more for standard installation at the store.

    The installer at Dadeland station was amazing. He took the time to help me pick out the best products for my jeep, but also explained to me in detail what the process was for the install.

    What I wish I knew

    I ordered 4 speakers online. While ordering I called 1-800-BESTBUY to ask what install would cost for my order. She quoted me a total of $44.99 for all 4 speakers. After they arrived I went into bestbuy to set up my appointment. At the store I got a girl who had very little knowledge and had trouble answering our questions. She scheduled our appointment and charged us $44.99 per pair + a $5 materials fee she couldn't explain. So now we're up to almost $100. Then, at my appt., my installer informed me I should have been charged $75 per pair because they needed to remove my door panels which pushed us into the "advanced install" group. So now it's around $160! But the installer was great and got it approved thru the manager for the price I had already paid and the install was done perfectly. So....the cost is per Pair and a standard install is only for removal of speaker panels when allowed, not door panels which are the most common. And find someone who knows what they're talking about!

    Employee who sold me the headunit gave me wrong in

    I had bought most of the equipment from the Best Buy website, including the installation. I ended up finding a head unit that I liked better in the store so I returned the one I got online. I asked him to look over the install services that I purchased to see if I needed anything else; the gentleman said no I was all set. When I arrived to get everything installed, the installation worker told me I purchased the wrong install and I would need to buy a different one. One that was $130 more expensive than that original one I purchased. He also informed me that due to my head unit being Bluetooth that I would need spend $20 for that to be installed, another thing the sales person told me nothing about. When I asked why I was not told about this the installer said, "The guy you spoke with probably knew nothing about the products." The guy who installed everything was very nice and apologized, however I was still pretty frustrated that I had to do this. On a bright note, everything is nice and sounds great.

    Dave T at the Greenville SC location provided some of the best customer service I have ever had. He was thorough and the install went very smoothly. Very happy!
