Much better option than constantly opening the bottom of the speaker to charge. Simply just place it on the charger and play music while charging or store for later use. It’s always charged. No complaints.

Simplifies charging

It eliminates opening up the USB port, which I would worry about water leakage over time. It sits on my workbench and when we get off the boat, I can just set it on the dock. It also has a sturdy cable and 115v adapter.

It charges well, is very convenient, no cords while on the go and easy to use. Only fits newer and select models so if you own an older model UE megaboom this is not an option.

it works

For some reason, the speaker turns on by itself sometimes when on the charger. I have found it's best to leave your speaker on the charger when you're using it for an extended amount of time and take it off when you're not.

Turns out it's just for charging use connected to an outlet. It is very useful though. I would recommend.

The other one would always get a corrosion in between the plug in the speaker and then later it would not be able to work again especially if you live in and humid area
