You still need to plug into the base anyway if you are moving these around or charging on the go.

Must buy with MegaBoom 3!

I'm not sure why more manufacturers haven't done this yet. It keeps the charging of the speaker bulk-free and really convenient. You'd think this was just a stand for the speaker but in reality you're charging it, this way it's ready to go at any moment's notice.

I can move the speaker all over my work facility and at the end of the day, park it on the charger to be fresh and ready for the next work day. So glad I finally splurged on this thing, it’s worth every penny.

The rubber gasket will eventually wear down from opening and closing and this eliminates that potential issue.

So much easier than dealing with the cable. Our 1st speaker purchase, same unit (stolen) we did not get this freebie and the charging cable broke early from plugging it in all the time. This is a no brainer if you use your speaker alot and we do.

Quick and Easy

It also just give it a better look while charging too. I’ve always gotten nervous with plugging in the speaker because the wire has been bent while in the speaker from falling over. This is the best solution to that!
