Great movie but it's not the best 4k transfer IMO.

This 4K UHD release is a significant upgrade in picture quality and color over the previous 1080p Blu Ray release which is not very good. Predator is a fantastic film (Arnold's best IMO) that is equal parts action film and sci fi film. The effects hold up very well even by today's standards and as I said before, the image quality is superb. A $14.99 this a great deal and about the closest you can get to seeing the film in a theater. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, not too kid friendly, but we sanitized it for our boys (9 and 11 years old) It is a classic GUY action movie with lots of machine gun fire, explosions and best of all, one of the most recognizable, and terrifying aliens since alien movies have been produced. The kids loved it, and so did we!! Too bad Arnold declined to do the sequels, otherwise the kids would be more than willing to shell out more of their own allowances to pitch in to buy them, as they did this GREAT ACTION MOVIE!

I am a movie freak and I love action movies! But this movie in particular has to be the greatest of all times. Not because the acting is incredible but the action is incredible. The creativity, the ingenuity and the stage setting are beyond reproach. Then there’s the gunfire, 500 rounds per second! Turn up the subwoofer, sit back with your popcorn and drink of choice. Settle in for a long exciting, loud ride! And I will definitely tell you I told you so!

This is a beautiful steelbook of the classic sci-fi action horror film Predator. The only thing that would make this set better is if it came with the 4K disc of the film. Other than that, you can't go wrong with this purchase, especially if you are a fan of this particular film or genre.

I saw this movie years ago and loved it! The 3d blu ray scared me to death!!!!! Arnold was at the top of his game! "Get to the chopper." Arnold wages a war against an unseen enemy that is not from this world! Carl Weathers did a good job in this movie also! This movie needs to be re-released in the movie theater in 3d! They did a good job re-mastering this movie. Color and sound are excellent! One of the greatest surprises on the dvd was all of the bonus features. Well worth the money and well worth seeing again!

Arnold Schwarzenegger in the jungle fighting a outer space alien! Need anyone say more? This film takes itself just seriously enough to be truly appreciated. Predator is a classic and an original concept in a crowded genre of muscleman and sci-fi aliens. Everything about the film benefits from the 4K upgrade and it’s simple story and on location filming combine to make this a real must own in any 4K collection.

I was hesitant to purchase this at first because most movies that are originally shot in 2D and then transferred to 3D are usually terrible, but, whoever oversaw the 3D conversion process here did a fantastic job. If you didn't know better, you'd think it was originally shot in 3D. I'm not going to review the movie itself here, because I'm sure everyone has already seen this movie and knows all about it. For me, the movie alone would rate 3-1/2 stars, it's the excellent 3D effect that wins the extra stars to make it a full 5 star choice. Enjoy!

This movie will always be the BEST movie in the Predator movie franchise. Predator 2 was great with Danny Glover, but with the cast and visuals seen in this amazing trip through a jungle where gigantic muscle-bound humans with huge bad-A weapons and memorable catchphrases or one-liners, are being tracked and hunted by a bad-A, freaky & awesome alien that looks Jamaican or like the music artists Milli Vanilli. This movie is very old, but for $5, it still looks great & it Kicks-A! RUN!!!!! GET TO THA CHOPPAAAA!!!!!!!!!

Like many of you, I have seen this movie hundreds of times (not litterally, but you know what I mean!) On Blu-Ray the picture quality is better than ever and with Blu-Ray the sound quality is AWESOME! One thing I do not read enough about is how great Blu-Ray audio is! The definition; the dynamic range; and when stuff blows up, HOW AWESOME IT IS! And then to make it even better.........3D! The depth of field makes this movie NEW all over again!

John McTiernan's Predator (1987) is arguably the greatest action film ever made. This is Arnold in his prime. Silvestri's iconic theme will be stuck in your head long after the credits roll. This is when Hollywood still knew how to make action movies. Pick this one up to experience Hollywood magic. Oh and the 4k blu picture is breathtaking. Massive improvement over the DNR mess that is the regular blu.

Steelbook is awesome addition to mt collectio - very cool cover art. I cant beleive I never watched this in blu-ray. My old dvd cant even compare. Blu ray resolution allows you to see so much more, which is a big deal in certain scenes where the predator is cloaked, but the dvd never showed the level of detail.

Classic. There are so many one liners that’s it’s kinda hard to remember them all. My favorite one was when a mercenary said I don’t have time to bleed. While the other one tell him do you have time to duck. In the end the pilot of the helicopter was an actual predator actor who is passed away of course but that was an interesting Easter egg.

One of the classics - wanted to introduce it to my 15 yr old and it was no where to be found online or at our library. Saw it at BB And figured that we can donate it to the library after we watch if we want to, but again it’s a classic so it’s added to our library now! It’s a good movie considering what they had to work with back then, great special effects.

Another gem from the Fox catalog. After the blu-ray release of this film made every actor and the jungle look like plastic this new 4K transfer is the best I've seen the film ever look. There's heavy film grain but that's because it was shot on film. The HDR really brings out the colors too. No Atmos sound unfortunately but the audio mix is still solid.

Still one of the best 80’s action movies of all time. Transfer has most of the grain wiped away so everyone has a waxy appearance most of the time and 3d is kind of flat most of the time.

I'm not actually able to "review" the main product here; I lack the capability to watch 4k films as of yet; I'm future-proofing by building a 4k collection. The bundled Blu-ray is the old, less than stellar release. I bought this on the strength of online reviews I trust and Best Buy having it at the right price. I'm biding my time..

I wanted to update my DVD and Blu Ray collection since I bought a 4k TV and this does not disappoint. Although this set is for 3D capable TV, I watched this in 3D and was extremely satisfied with the picture quality. The action scenes between Arnold and the Predator left me feeling like I was right there. In fact, I noticed things that I did not before. Also, I did not miss the 3D effects. The sale price was too good to pass up.

Who doesn't remember where they were when they first heard Arnold yell "Get to the chopper"? You were in the theater watching Predator... Except that didn't actually happen, Arnold doesn't actually yell that, you're trippin'. Don't believe me? Grab this 4K release and find out for yourself.

1987's Predator finally gets an an upgrade over the previous MPEG codec blu-ray releases in 2008 and 2010. This releases get a new 4K scan that restores some film grain and looks excellent. Comes with a re-release of the 2010 blu-ray as well as digital code. The 33-year old film never looked this good outside of a movie theater.
