Arnie and his squad of experts go into a jungle to extract a downed helicopter full of high level folks and find an alien "hunter" who has come to earth to bag his limit of human skulls. In 3D, you can taste the sweat of these guys as they fall one by one to the skilled hunter. Will Arnie survive? That is not a given in this feature by the same guy who gave us "Die Hard" and "The 13th Warrior".

The movie speaks for itself...a classic that featured 2 future state governors. The video quality of this release is outstanding! The image processing deficiencies were very few and mostly due to my TV not being calibrated at the time. The 7.1 surround sound is spectacular. It has a very natural, lifelike appeal. Kudos to the A/V engineers that remastered this movie for a job well done.

Got this for a great price to upgrade/replace my old DVD, and the return visit to the jungle with Arnold and his team is still tons of fun - action, cool alien, and the Governor (2 actually, counting Jesse Ventura). Also some shooting and sci-fi type gore so not for the younglings.

One of the great Arnold films and now in 4K! Not much needs to be said about the film, it is a classic Arnold film and is still a fun watch. The 4K disc is great. Good grain, the HDR helps colors pop, and the sound is very good. My one nitpick is that it would have been cool to have a DTS-X track but it still sounds quite good.

I had to get this movie for 8.99 on sale, plus it was a blu ray so it was gonna be a steal. Played the movie at my house on my LG 47' smart TV on 240 MHz, & it was epic...I have surround sound, but I'm gonna end up getting me a soundbar. The quality of the picture was great & the motion was fluid (felt like I was watching a soap opera). Probably gonna watch it again after I do this review.

This movie puts modern cinema to shame! The action, visuals, story, characters, etc. are so great that no other sequel to this classic compares. Easily one of my favorite movies of all time, and the digital remastering of the picture quality makes it an amazing deal.

This new transfer of Predator is great. The old one had too much digital noise reduction making the actors in it look waxy. This fixes the issue and there is a healthy amount of normal grain from the film source. The colors are deep and the sound is on point. They handled one of the greatest action movies ever pretty well.

Upgrading my movies to 4k. Added this as it’s a classic from my youth. Special effects hold up pretty well and the full size aspect ratio is awesome. Does have a bit of grain which is expected. Would have been 5 stars if it had an Atmos or DTS:X soundtrack, but still sounds quite good. Overall pleased with this (definitely better than the Total Recall release).

And even better so on Bluray. What's not to like about this movie? If you're a collector and don't yet have it on Bluray, the Ultimate Hunter Edition is definitely the one to get. It utilizes a modern codec compared to previous releases and simply looks better than ever. As for new time viewers, don't miss out on one of Arnold's early classics.

The original Predator film is a tense and frightful affair that doesn't require great acting skills (thank goodness considering the star), but a game attitude and physical endurance. The many sequels became more outlandish and finally tedious, but this original has staying power and a thrilling intensity. The 3-D conversion is a nice lagniappe.

The previous Blu-ray release on Predator was so embarrassing I swore off buying it for years, and this 4K restoration makes that wait worth it. Finely detailed and gorgeously grainy. Be warned, the Blu-ray copy included is the same old version with the hideous digital-noise scrubbing that makes everything look rotoscoped.

As incredible as Predator was to watch the first time, it was even more visually stunning in 4K. The natural jungle scenery is really enhanced with the higher resolution, almost like you're really there. Gotta love Jesse Ventura's character as well!

'Predator' has its flaws, but the film is made well. The computer graphics are dated, but most will enjoy watching it.

This a already an amazing classic with unrivaled action sequences like wiping out the jungle town in the beginning. The 4k remaster makes it even better especially with the redone audio! I feel like I'm in the jungle and actually near the predator! Horrifying!

Amazing film. Watched it as a kid and still watching it as an adult. This is one of my favorites film that never gets old. Wish they made more similar films. But the first predator beat all other predator films made.

The original Predator in beautiful 4k Ultra HD! When I find out this was being released on 4k Blu Ray I had to buy this! This movies looks great in 4k especially it being a movie from the 80s bright colors and deep blacks. If your a fan of the original Predator the best film in the franchise this is a must buy!!!

I cant believe how good the bluray 3d version looks. Super sharp video and great 3d in the jungle. Carl Weathers and Arnie's Biceps are glistening. I so recommend looks great on my 100 inch 3d projector in surround. I dont know why 3d never took off I often am playing games and watching movies in 3d rather than my 4k tv each day.

The film that started it all, spawning two sequels and two spin-off films against our favorite Xenomorph creatures, is a must-have for any sci-fi horror collection. The special effects, for that time, were exceptional, and the action, violence, and even the dialogue was very good. I'm glad I finally added it to my collection.

Its Predator! You've seen it! You love it! Reissue of the bluray, nothing new but that steelbook(!) The artwork is fantastic! This is why you need the version. Unfortunately another victim of Best Buy shipping. Lots of dings. Better pick this up in store.

What more can I say about this film, it is the perfect parody of action films rolling out of the 80s while also introducing the perfect hunter. Arnold and his boys didn't stand a chance with their huge muscles and arsenal that could level a small nation. The image quality is superb, the sound just as good, its a must have.
