HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

My sales person was of little help and almost impossible to get ahold of as soon as they had my money. I have had non-stop issue with the very expensive electronics I had them install and months later am still having problems. I attempted to fix a problem using their online geek squad and was told they could not help and to call the 800 number. Once I did I was transferred twice then I was hung up on. I went into the store to speak to the Manager but waited 15 minutes to speak to a salesperson with nothing being resolved. I then gave my business card to the sales person and ask for him to have the store manager call me and I never heard from her.

Geek Squad Home Set Up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a TV & sound bar in CA prior to moving & arranged for Reno Geek Squad to set up both. Two GS employees showed up; one a trainee. "Trainer" was outwardly not happy that work order did not include sound bar set up (not my error) & gruffly stated that it would be billed to store. Set up was fast as obviously they both had places to go. Was given "cell #" of primary GS employee to call w/ questions about a complicated TV. Of course, had questions, couldn't get TV & sound bar to sync. Multiple calls to GS over 3 days were unanswered. Trying to get assistance from store was a frustrating circus. Wound up having an out of state family member via FaceTime figure out the problem & finish programming the TV correctly for it's many options. Definitely a Geek Squad FAIL!

Inexperienced installer

I was not really pleased with the service I received. I would only use again if I absolutely did not have anyone to install. Next time would just probably have husband and friends install

Inexperienced and Unprofessional
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Three Geek Squad people showed up, but only the leader had a clue what to do as to mounting and setting up the TV. He was pretty good, but mounted the TV in the wrong place and had to redo it. They other two had no idea what to do and were not very professional.

Wall mounting

First I was told that I could get the wires behind the wall, then I was told that I had to pay more $... Too much of a headache.

Great TV.

Now going on two weeks to try and get it right. My only offer from Best Buy is to spend more money and I still will not have what I bought. Not happy.

Disappointing

Only fair service from 3rd Party contractor

still waiting for delivery and installation

Upon calling customer support, I was informed that was an automatic computer generated message and the order wasn't really cancelled, it was just 15 days overdue and on back order! It is obvious the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at Best Buy! If the installation actually happens on the latest delivery date of 8/21 I will be very surprised. In the mean time Best Buy has my money. This reminds me of Circuit City; of course they are now out of business!

Geek Squad Never Showed Up

It was this person's first day on the job. Arrived 10 hours late, YES 10 HOURS!! didn't have the right tools, and didn't have the TV, short and wimpy. Send him to the store. Store refused to release the TV. I couldn't believe. Wimpy guy... so sad...I had to help him install two TV's. I Complained to the Store manager and they threw peanuts at me and gave me a very small credit. Honestly, demand Geek Squad to show up or refuse the service. Shame on you best buy.

Unprofessional service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor service, followed by job left incomplete, damage to my house walls as their failure to follow simple instructions to remove old TV and remount it with same existing mount upstairs and new mount on new tv that resulted in eight sets of holes in my walls...waste of time which was a direct result of installers taking 2 hour lunch which resulted in the 10 hour service call...and still did not get the setup correct which resulted in a week no tv and two follow up calls and countless trips to best buy store...

Basic Knowledge

Was assured that my Geek Squad installer would be well versed in 4K HD equipment. At installation, Best Buy Geek Squad installer was asked to check if HDMI cable was capable of 4K HD service matching new LG 65-inch OLED 4K HD TV. Geek Squad installer incapable of responding to HDMI query. After LG TV performed an online software update, new TV would no longer connect to WiFi. Called Geek Squad installer as instructed but again he was of zero help.

Very bad experience

First they couldnt show up because tv was not delivered on time. When tv was deivered and they were suppose to come install, the i staller sent a txt msg that he cant make it. Talked to costumer rep and they tried to get him back to install but didnt work out. The next avaliable was few days later. We canceled the wholw thing and installed ourselves.

Horrendous Service

I had to take a day and a half from work. Customer Service hung up on me after being put on-hold. I was promised 2 call backs from supervisors that never came. Installation details were also wrong and had to pay more than quoted. Also promised a call from corporate that never came.
